This 3-star spot has this unpretentious vibe that I actually found pretty refreshing after staying at some overly polished hotels that felt like they were performing hospitality rather than just… being hospitable.

The first thing you notice walking in is how the staff actually seems to care about getting things right. I mean, check-in was smooth without being robotic, and the front desk person knew the neighborhood well enough to give me solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. The rooms themselves are clean and thoughtfully laid out – nothing fancy, but everything you need is there and it all works properly. The beds are surprisingly comfortable for a 3-star place (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms are modern enough that you’re not dealing with temperamental plumbing. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details – decent lighting for reading, enough outlets in useful spots, and blackout curtains that actually block light if you’re trying to sleep in.

The thing is, this place has earned that 9.0 rating by consistently doing the basics really, really well. The housekeeping is thorough, the common areas feel welcoming rather than sterile, and there’s this sense that they’ve figured out what travelers actually need versus what looks good in photos. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, and even then the noise levels were totally manageable – you could hear some hallway activity if you were really listening, but nothing that would wake you up. The location works well too, though you’ll want to ask about parking if you’re driving since street parking in the area can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. Honestly, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat, especially knowing that sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that focus on substance over flash.
