Overview

You know what really struck me about the MONDRIAN when I first walked into the lobby? It’s got this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” – which honestly is refreshing in a city where so many hotels are trying way too hard. The suites here are what you’d actually want to live in, not just crash for a night. I mean, the apartments have full kitchens with decent appliances (not those sad mini-fridges), and the living spaces are arranged like someone who actually understands how people move around a room designed them.

The location on Market Square is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right in the thick of things without being stuck above some noisy street-level restaurant that keeps you up until 2 AM. I could walk to most of the spots I wanted to hit, and there’s this great little coffee place literally around the corner that locals frequent – you’ll know it by the line of people in business attire every morning around 8:30. The building itself has character but they’ve renovated it thoughtfully, so you get those nice high ceilings and big windows without the creaky floors or wonky plumbing that usually comes with historic properties. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – no standing around while they “find your reservation” or any of that nonsense.

What really sets this place apart though is how they’ve nailed the details that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere for more than just sleeping. The beds are firm but not like sleeping on concrete, the shower pressure is legitimately good (I’ve stayed at five-star places where the water barely trickles out), and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase the entire time. The soundproofing between rooms is solid – I never heard my neighbors, which is saying something because the place was pretty full when I was there. Honestly, with a 9.8 rating, I was expecting maybe some of that to be inflated, but after staying there I get it. It’s not flashy or over-the-top luxurious, it’s just really well-executed in all the ways that actually matter when you’re trying to enjoy a trip without constantly being reminded you’re in a hotel room.

We loved the fact that the building was a significant building in the square. The apartment was very roomy and comfortable, it was the perfect location and we wish we could have stayed longer. If we return, we will definitely stay here again and most definitely will be sending recommendations to anyone we know that will be visiting Warsaw. Communication also exceeded our expectation, the assistance we received from our host from greeting to exiting - superb customer service.
