Hotel Description
You know what? I was honestly skeptical about staying at a Motel One – the name doesn’t exactly scream luxury – but this place on Tamka Street completely changed my mind. The location is actually brilliant if you know Warsaw at all. You’re right in Śródmieście, which means you can walk to basically everything that matters. I mean, the Royal Castle is literally a ten-minute stroll, and you’re close enough to the Vistula that you can jog along the riverbank in the morning (which I did, and it’s lovely). The street itself is pretty quiet considering how central you are – I was worried about traffic noise, but honestly, I slept great. There’s this little courtyard area that buffers you from the main road noise, and the windows are surprisingly good quality for a 3-star place.
The whole vibe inside is what I’d call “smart budget” – they’ve clearly thought about where to spend money and where to save it. The lobby has this clean, modern design that feels way more expensive than it probably was, and the staff actually seem to know the neighborhood well. When I asked about getting to Chopin Airport (hence the name, I guess), the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic map – he told me exactly which bus to catch and warned me about the construction on Marszałkowska that was slowing things down that week. The rooms are compact but cleverly designed, sort of like a really well-planned studio apartment. The shower pressure is excellent – honestly better than some 4-star places I’ve stayed – and they’ve got these little touches like USB ports built into the bedside lamps that show someone was actually thinking about what travelers need.
What really won me over though was how it felt like staying somewhere locals might actually recommend. I grabbed coffee at this tiny place around the corner that the hotel recommended, and it was packed with people clearly heading to work, not tourists. The whole Tamka area has that lived-in feeling – you’ve got the fancy government buildings and embassies nearby, but also regular apartment blocks and corner shops where people are just going about their daily lives. For the price point, especially with that 8.9 rating (which honestly seems about right), you’re getting way more than you’d expect. The only minor complaint I’d have is that the elevator is pretty small, so if you’re traveling with big suitcases, you might need to make multiple trips. But that’s really nitpicking – overall, this place gets the balance right between location, comfort, and value in a way that’s pretty rare in Warsaw’s city center.
To book hotel in Warsaw during the famous Warsaw Autumn music festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

Very clean. Also breakfast was good.
What could be improved: Couldn’t link my iPhone upto the tv. No smart tv for either YouTube or Netflix. The room was very clean and cozy. We couldn’t hear the neighbors. During the day, the towels were replaced. Perfect loca – Jana from Estonia – August 10, 2025 (8/10)
We came for a concert that was held at the Narodowy Stadium and were pleased to reach it quickly on foot (about 15 minutes).
There’s a grocery store right next to the hotel, and it’s about a 20-minute walk to the Old Town.
The hotel itself is beautiful.
very good breakfast, comfortable bed . we like it
What could be improved: I asked twice for them to speak with us in English, but they explained the way to the parking lot in Polish — I could barely understand.
It would have been helpful to have information in advance that the parking lot is far away — it’s very inconvenient to walk 1 km through the city with suitcases! That’s a long way.
The room could also have included cotton swabs and facial cotton pads.Exceptional – Jacqueline from Australia – August 10, 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: No kettle/ tea bags in room
Excellent location, comfy bed, great breakfast with multiple transport options. – Heather from United Kingdom – August 9, 2025 (8/10)
The breakfast was excellent, I'm always pleased to see gluten free and non-dairy options. Also a bonus to have non-feather pillows.
What could be improved: The room wasn't huge, but then we didn't really spend much time in there.
Breakfast could have lasted longer at the weekend, as it was so busy it was hard to get a seat on Saturday morning at 10am.Exceptional – Dmytro from Poland – August 8, 2025 (10/10)
Nice rooms
