You know what caught me off guard about Naviflat’s West Side spot? It’s actually got that lived-in feeling that most vacation rentals completely miss. I mean, when you walk in, it doesn’t scream “rental property” – it feels like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste and actually uses their kitchen.

The apartment itself is honestly better than the photos suggest, which is rare these days. The windows are huge – like, floor-to-ceiling huge – and the morning light just floods the whole space. I spent way too much time just sitting at their dining table with coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, not just the bare minimum stuff most places throw in. There’s a decent coffee maker (thank god), sharp knives that actually cut things, and enough counter space to spread out if you’re planning to cook. The bed’s comfortable without being one of those too-soft situations where you sink in and can’t move, and honestly, the shower pressure is better than what I have at home.

What really makes this place work is the location – it’s in one of those pockets where you’re close enough to everything but not right in the chaos. You can walk to most of the good stuff without planning your whole day around transportation, but when you come back at night, it’s actually quiet enough to sleep. Street parking isn’t terrible if you’re driving, though I’d recommend asking them about the local parking rules because there are a few streets nearby with weird restrictions. The check-in was smooth – they sent clear instructions beforehand and were quick to respond when I had a question about the thermostat. Only tiny complaint? The walls are a bit thin, so if the upstairs neighbors are heavy walkers, you’ll know about it. But most of the time it was perfectly fine. With a 9.8 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to make people happy, and after staying here, I get why people keep coming back.
