Overview

You know what caught me off guard about New Town Spacious Apartment? The name actually undersells it. I was expecting some cramped converted office space, but this place genuinely feels like someone’s well-appointed city apartment that they happen to rent out when they’re away. The moment you walk in, there’s this sense of “oh, people actually live here” – real books on the shelves, art that wasn’t clearly bought in bulk, kitchen cabinets stocked with proper dishes instead of those flimsy hotel cups that crack if you look at them wrong.

The space itself lives up to that “spacious” promise, which honestly surprised me given how tight most city accommodations can be. The living area flows naturally into the kitchen, and there’s enough room to actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage. I spent a good chunk of my evenings just sitting by the windows with coffee, watching the neighborhood wind down – there’s something oddly satisfying about seeing locals walk their dogs and grab takeout while you’re settled in like a temporary resident. The bedroom’s got blackout curtains that actually work (thank god, because I’m one of those people who needs complete darkness), and the bed’s firm without being punishing. Honestly, I slept better there than I do at home sometimes.

What really sold me on the place, though, was all the small stuff that shows someone’s paying attention. The Wi-Fi password was written on a cute little card, not scrawled on some torn piece of paper. There’s a proper shower with water pressure that doesn’t make you question your life choices, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the towels actually smell fresh, not like industrial detergent mixed with sadness. The kitchen’s equipped well enough that I could make real meals instead of surviving on overpriced room service, which saved me a fortune over the week I stayed. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too; none of that awkward hovering-around-the-lobby situation you get with some places.

I mean, it’s not perfect – the building itself is a bit older so you’ll hear the occasional footsteps from upstairs, and the elevator has this quirky delay where you press the button and wait just long enough to wonder if it’s broken. But honestly? Those minor things just add to the authentic neighborhood feel. It’s got that lived-in comfort that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re borrowing a friend’s place. For a 4-star spot with an 8.3 rating, it definitely delivers on both the comfort and the value – I’d absolutely book it again next time I’m in the area.

The location of the apartment is excellent! The apartment itself is very nice as well, and well equipped with everything one may need. As the bonus, the host stacked the kitchen with snacks, water bottles and juice bottles, which was truly a sweet touch.
