The lobby has this understated elegance that feels more European than flashy American hotel chain – think clean lines, warm lighting, and staff who actually seem to know the neighborhood inside out. I was checking in around 3 PM on a Tuesday (always the best time to avoid crowds, by the way) and the front desk guy was genuinely helpful about dinner recommendations, not just pushing the hotel restaurant. The rooms have that comfortable, lived-in quality where you can tell they’ve invested in good mattresses and blackout curtains – the kind of details that matter when you’re actually trying to sleep, not just take Instagram photos. The bathroom products were surprisingly decent too, none of that watered-down soap you usually get.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels during different parts of the day. Mornings are pretty quiet – you can actually think during breakfast without fighting crowds or dealing with screaming kids (well, most of the time anyway). Parking was easier than I expected too, which honestly surprised me given how tight most city hotels can be about that stuff. The only minor thing I’d mention is that weekend nights can get a bit lively – not rowdy exactly, but if you’re a super light sleeper, you might want to request a room away from the street side. Overall though, it’s one of those places that just gets the fundamentals right, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re traveling.
