Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Ochota Siewierska Modern Apartment” on my booking confirmation, I had no idea what I was getting into. Ochota isn’t exactly the neighborhood that pops up in Warsaw travel guides, you know? But honestly, that turned out to be one of the best parts about staying here. You’re actually living like a local instead of being stuck in some tourist bubble near the Old Town. The apartment itself sits on Siewierska street, which is this quiet residential stretch that feels refreshingly normal after dealing with the chaos of central Warsaw. I mean, you can walk to the Ochota train station in about ten minutes, and from there you’re connected to literally everywhere – the airport, city center, even day trips out of the city. What really struck me was how the building manages to feel modern without being sterile, if that makes sense. The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe but there’s actual character to it.

The apartment itself lives up to that “modern” promise in the name. Everything feels recently renovated – the kitchen actually has appliances that work properly (you’d be surprised how rare that is), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that makes you want to stay in there forever. I stayed during a particularly hot week in July, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver. The windows are well-insulated too, which matters because while Siewierska is generally quiet, you do get some street noise during morning rush hour. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay – I was working remotely and never had connection issues, even during video calls. One thing that caught me off guard (in a good way) was how much natural light floods the place during the day. The windows face east, so you get this gorgeous morning light that makes the whole space feel bigger than it actually is.

What I really appreciated was being in a proper neighborhood instead of a hotel district. There’s this excellent little bakery called Piekarnia U Asi just two blocks down that does incredible zapiekanki – honestly better than anything I found in the touristy areas. The Galeria Ochota shopping center is maybe a fifteen-minute walk if you need groceries or want to catch a movie, and there’s a Żabka convenience store practically on every corner (which, let’s face it, becomes your best friend when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple days). The tram connections are fantastic too – line 14 runs right down Grójecka street and gets you to the Palace of Culture in about twenty minutes. Parking was surprisingly manageable for Warsaw; there’s street parking that’s free on weekends, though you’ll want to move your car by 8 AM on weekdays unless you want a ticket. Check-in was smooth – they use a keypad system, so no awkward timing issues or waiting around for someone to show up with keys. Overall, it’s exactly what you want from a 4-star place: comfortable, functional, and well-located without breaking the bank.

  What could be improved: dirty yellow towels and bed linen with stains. For three days they provided: 1 dishwasher tablet. There were no spare garbage bags. There is a washing machine in the apartment, but not a single washing capsule is included. Salt, sugar – also 1 stick each

  What could be improved: SCAM! You have to pay a 94€ deposit fee. I payed by bank transfer using a debit card in MAY. Until today – 22th of july – they keep saying they have "released the deposits" when in reality they should have made a BANK TRANSFER – so 2 months later I still have not received my money! DONT DO THIS if you dont want to lose money! And yes, I have contacted my bank.

  On first look, this apartment really looks like a well-planned place to have fun with a small group or family – an interesting layout, lots of different light sources, a comfortable kitchen with lots of space, a normal-sized bedroom with an extra room that can also be a workspace. And maybe for one evening, you will really have this impression.
  Also, the apartment is located near a tram stop.
  
  What could be improved: A closer look reveals all the problems: wobbly chairs, an oven that smells like it hasn't been cleaned in a couple of months, many light bulbs that barely work and need to be replaced, and a rusty shelf in the shower.
  There was also a doorknob to the wardrobe that didn't hold, one of the lamps by the bed had no bulb at all, a torn duvet cover and a very tough bed mattress in the bedroom. Then we found out that the door to the bedroom was broken and wouldn't close, and when we asked the owners to repair it, they said they would get back to us later, and we haven't seen them in two weeks since then.
  
  In general, we get the feeling that the owners have not visited this apartment for many months and do not care much about it, because all these things could have been fixed in a day.
  
  In addition, when we checked out, we left our laptop charger in the apartment. We notified the owner in the evening, but all the following days we received only a standard response that we would be contacted if they received a response from the cleaning service. Given the previous impression, we have a feeling that nothing was actually done in this case.

  Apartament stylowo urządzony, przestronny, zlokalizowany przy cichej uliczce. Dogodne zameldowanie, wcześniejsze i jasne otrzymanie danych do rozpoczęcia dobytu. Mieszkanie bardzo dobrze przygotowany na pobyt turystów np. bogaty zestaw kawowo-herbaciany, butelki wody, kosmetyki itp. Przy dłuższym pobycie przydałyby się rolety lub zasłony w salonie, a w przyszłości odświeżenie malowania, ale to drobnostki. Naprawdę miła miejscówka 🙂
  
  What could be improved: Czystość na dobrym poziomie, ale kurz i drobny brud w zakamarkach widoczny. Warto nad tym popracować i będzie idealnie.

  What could be improved: Nie działające światło w głównym pokoju. Próbowałem skontaktować się z właścicielem/administracją, ale za każdym razem odpowiadał bot.
  Po kilku dniach dostałem odpowiedź, że wyjątkowo mieli problem z systemem komunikacyjnym i zaproponowali kompensację. Mam nadzieję, że problem na ten moment został rozwiązany i kontakt z administracją jest bez problemu. (Rezerwacja w lutym)

  Wszystkie potrzebne rzeczy i udogodnienia, bardzo przyjemne wnętrze, czysta pościel. Można było odpocząć. Lokalizacja dla mnie idealna.
  
  What could be improved: Jedyny mały minus, to prysznic do dokładnego wyczyszczenia, ale i tak jedno z najlepszych obiektów w jakich byłam.

  Все было очень чисто и безопасно, тихий двор, такси до подъезда. Рядом магазин и аптека. В квартире было достаточно туалет принадлежностей и полотенца свежие , отмечу что постельное белье хорошего качества . Хозяин оставил комплимент в виде снэков и напитки , спасибо !

  Super beliggenhed både i fht centrum, sporvogn og daglige indkøb. Der ligger den skønneste park 10 min væk. Pæn og moderne lejlighed med god indretning. Masser af lækre håndklæder og sæbe på badeværelset.
  
  What could be improved: Ovn og emhætte trængte virkelig til en affedtning. To stole ved spisebordet var gået i stykker og aircondition kunne kun cikulere luften. De to sovesofaer kan ikke anbefales til store børn/voksne.
