You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Old Town Apartment A when I first booked it – honestly, the name sounds pretty generic and there wasn’t even a proper address listed online, which had me a little worried. But sometimes the places with the most basic names end up being hidden gems, and this is definitely one of those situations. The moment I walked in, I could tell someone actually cares about this place. It’s got that lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake – like staying at your cool aunt’s apartment, if your cool aunt happened to have really good taste in furniture and knew how to make a space feel both cozy and polished.

The thing that really struck me (and I mean this in the best way) is how it manages to feel authentically local without trying too hard. The building itself has character – you can hear the city humming outside, but it’s not disruptive noise, more like a gentle reminder that you’re actually somewhere interesting. The apartment gets great light in the mornings, which I discovered by accident when I forgot to close the curtains one night. There’s this wonderful smell of coffee that drifts up from somewhere nearby around 7 AM – probably from one of the cafés tucked into the surrounding streets. I never did figure out exactly which one, but it became my unofficial wake-up call.

What really won me over was the attention to small details that most places completely overlook. The shower actually has proper water pressure (travelers know this is basically winning the lottery), there are enough outlets near the bed for your phone and whatever else you need to charge, and – this might sound silly – but the Wi-Fi password was written in clear handwriting on actual paper, not some tiny print on a plastic card you’ll definitely lose. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you spend time here; it’s not flashy or trying to impress anyone, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no lengthy explanations of amenities I’ll never use or policies that don’t matter. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since I feel like I barely scratched the surface of the neighborhood. There’s something satisfying about finding a place that does the basics really well instead of promising you the moon and delivering disappointment.

  Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Blisko do Wisły i Starego Miasta. Na dole zaraz przy bramie kawiarnia i sklep spożywczy. W pobliżu wiele restauracji. Mieszkanie niewielkie, ale ładnie zaaranżowane. Ogromny prysznic w łazience. Apartament jest zapewne częścią dawnego dużego mieszkania i część w której mieszkałem była położona od strony podwórka, dzięki czemu było cicho wieczorem i w nocy. Właściciel szybko odpowiada na pytania w aplikacji Booking.
