You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Old Town Art Studio when I first walked up – I mean, it’s only got three stars, right? But honestly, this place completely surprised me. The moment you step inside, you realize the stars don’t tell the whole story. There’s this incredible creative energy buzzing through the whole building, and I’m pretty sure it’s because they’ve actually managed to blend a working art studio with guest accommodations in a way that doesn’t feel forced or gimmicky.

The rooms themselves are… well, they’re not luxury suites, but they’ve got character in spades. Think exposed brick walls (real ones, not that fake stuff), vintage furniture that looks like it was carefully collected over decades, and – this is the best part – original artwork from local artists rotating through the space. I stayed there twice last year, and the paintings in my room were completely different the second time around. The beds are surprisingly comfortable for a three-star place, and the lighting is actually designed by someone who understands that travelers need both ambient mood lighting and proper task lighting for reading. Small thing, but it matters when you’re trying to plan your day or wind down at night.

What really sets this place apart is how it sits in the old town area. You’re close enough to hear the morning coffee grinders starting up at the local cafés, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with late-night party noise. The front desk staff – and I mean this – actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about finding a good bookstore, the guy working the evening shift didn’t just point me toward the tourist shops, he sent me to this tiny used bookstore three blocks over where the owner has been curating collections for thirty years. That 9.5 rating makes perfect sense when you realize they’re not trying to be everything to everyone – they’re just really, really good at being exactly what they are. The check-in process is smooth, there’s always hot coffee in the lobby (proper coffee, not hotel lobby swill), and parking is actually manageable if you know to ask them about the arrangement they have with the lot around the corner. It’s not fancy, but it’s authentic in a way that’s getting harder and harder to find.

  Everything was great location , clean and modern place, comfort of the bed and the owner.The only think is that can be hard sometimes is stairs. But other than this it was really nice.

  We were coming from Wroclaw where we had a very bad experience at a private accomodation booked on booking.com, so we were a bit anxious about this one too. But we were very pleasantly surprised with the apartment: it was clean, modern and very thoughtfully designed. It has all you might need from a laundry to a washing machine, oil, tea and coffee for your stay, extra towels and blankets etc. The host is very responsive and nice, which we really appreciated. Good wifi and great location – you can walk everywhere and the bus to the airport stops right in front of the flat.

  The location was super. So close to the old town by foot. The apartment is so cute and cosy and with a nice view. Iwona was super friendly and helpful and also made our staying as convenient as possible. Only downside is that the bed was a little smaller than double but the sleep on it was more than fine. Definitely recommend staying at her place. You will not regret it.
