Hotel Description
You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first saw the name “Old Town Heart II” – it sounds like they’re trying way too hard, right? But this little place on New Town Square actually surprised me. The thing is, most people get confused about Warsaw’s geography (I mean, who wouldn’t with a “New Town” that’s from the 17th century), but this spot sits right on the quieter Rynek Nowego Miasta, which is perfect if you want that historic cobblestone vibe without the tourist circus of the main Old Town square. The building itself has this lovely worn brick facade that they’ve clearly put some money into recently – you can tell from the fresh paint on the window frames and the way the entrance doesn’t creak anymore when you walk in. I stayed in apartment 5, and honestly, the renovation work is pretty solid. They kept the original hardwood floors, which have this gorgeous patina that you just can’t fake, but updated everything else that actually matters. The kitchen’s compact but functional (I made coffee every morning without wanting to throw anything), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works properly – you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in these historic buildings.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re literally steps from Freta Street where all the locals go for dinner. The windows are thick enough that you don’t hear the trams rumbling down Długa, but you’re still close enough to walk to the Barbican in about three minutes. During the day, the square has this lovely lived-in feeling – there’s usually an older gentleman feeding pigeons by the fountain, and the small café on the corner (I think it’s called Café Nowy Świat, though don’t quote me on that) makes surprisingly good pierogi. The apartment gets great morning light if you’re in one of the front-facing units, though I’d honestly request a courtyard view if you’re a light sleeper – the square can get a bit lively on weekend evenings when the university students discover it.
Practically speaking, check-in was smooth (they actually met me at the building, which saved me from wandering around with my luggage), and while there’s no formal reception desk, the property manager responds to messages pretty quickly. Parking’s going to be your biggest headache – this is old Warsaw, so the streets are narrow and spots are basically nonexistent, but there’s a paid lot about a five-minute walk away near the city walls. The location really shines for exploring on foot though. You can walk to the Royal Castle in ten minutes, hit the Vistula riverfront for a morning jog, or duck into the maze of streets around Piwna for some of the best traditional Polish food in the city. For a 3-star place, it punches above its weight – the 8.5 rating makes sense when you factor in that renovation and the fact that you’re getting a proper apartment rather than just a hotel room. It’s not luxury, but it’s authentic Warsaw living without the tourist markup.

Absolutely Fantastic Stay at Old Town Heart 2! – Filip from Poland – July 24, 2024 (10/10)
My recent stay at Old Town Heart 2 by the New Town Market Square was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I arrived, I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail and the level of comfort provided. The breakfast service was one of the highlights of my stay. Every morning, a delicious and varied breakfast was delivered right to my apartment. It was not only convenient but also exceptionally tasty, providing the perfect start to my day. The apartment was spotless. The level of cleanliness maintained was truly impressive, making me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout my stay. The bed was comfortable, offering a perfect night's sleep after long days of exploring Warsaw. The bedding was fresh and high quality, adding to the overall comfort. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They were always available to answer any questions and provide recommendations, making my stay even more enjoyable. Their warm hospitality truly made a difference. The location of the apartment is simply beautiful, situated in the most charming part of Warsaw. Being in the heart of the New Town Market Square allowed easy access to many historical sites, restaurants, and shops. The picturesque surroundings added to the magic of my stay. Overall, my experience with Old Town Heart was extraordinary. The combination of great service, comfort, and beautiful surroundings makes Old Town Heart 2 a top choice for anyone visiting Warsaw. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Exceeded expectations. So far, this is the best place I have stayed in Warsaw. And we've been there many times. – Deivydas from Lithuania – March 10, 2024 (10/10)
Everything was great. From the location, to the cosiness of the apartment and the coffee machine, which was a pleasure discovery.
What could be improved: No comments on that.Exceptional – Oleksii from Ukraine – December 28, 2023 (10/10)
Great apartment
Overall it was an enjoyable stay – James from United Kingdom – December 10, 2023 (9/10)
The location was superb overlooking a tree lined street, the apartment was nice and warm and the king size bed was very comfy, there were plenty of local restaurants nearby and the main square was a short walk away
What could be improved: NoneA good value stay – Jean from United States – November 1, 2023 (9/10)
Good location and value. Close to old town and bus stops. The apartment was clean.
What could be improved: The unit is a bit dark(facing north) . The check in procedure was not clear to us. But was able to reach someone right away and solve the problem. What an inspiring place ! – Kateřina from Czech Republic – October 9, 2023 (10/10)
This apartement has the best location in Warszaw ever. A calm, historical place in Nowe Miasto. The apartement is in the first floor of the old building and has a magical spirit.
There is everything you can need during your stay in Warszaw. The bed is very comfortable.

Flat is very comfortable and has a charming character.

Wonderful – Joanna from Ireland – March 3, 2023 (9/10)
I liked everything about apartment it's ina beautiful location and very cosy and comfy. The owner waited for me to check out as I slept in and had to email property to give me extra time to leave, so that was great
What could be improved: The codes to gate and entry to staircase shall be sent together with apartment access code before check in as there was a difficulty getting in to the building. Had to ring random tenants of the building as I had no network coverage and couldn't get to my emails to check the door codes. If they are sent together with entry code to apartment there would be no issue. Also WiFi password should be easy and displayed not for us to look for it on the router where it was under wifi-key not the actual password.those to things were only minuses other than that stay was perfect and so was apartment
