You know what caught me off guard about Old Town Heart VI Luxury on Przyokopowa? The name makes it sound way more pretentious than it actually is. I mean, it’s technically a 3-star place, but honestly – and I’ve stayed in plenty of “luxury” hotels that felt more sterile than this gem.

The thing about Przyokopowa is that you’re literally in the thick of things without the tourist trap chaos. I remember my first morning there, stepping out and realizing I could grab proper pierogi from that little place around the corner (not the touristy spots charging double), then walk to the main square in maybe eight minutes. The street itself has this perfect mix of locals heading to work and visitors who actually did their homework about where to stay. What really sold me though was coming back around 10 PM after dinner – the area doesn’t go completely dead like some old town neighborhoods do, but it’s not party-central either. You’ll hear conversations drifting from nearby cafés, maybe some light music, but I slept like a baby every night.

The hotel itself has that renovated-but-not-overdone vibe that’s getting harder to find. They kept some of the original character – thick walls that actually block sound, which is clutch when you’re this close to everything – but updated where it matters. The shower pressure was surprisingly strong (you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong), and the bed was one of those firm-but-comfortable situations that didn’t leave me twisted up in the morning. Actually, the staff deserves a mention here because they seem to genuinely know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the train station early morning, the guy at the desk didn’t just point me toward expensive taxis – he walked me through the tram schedule and even mentioned which car to get on to avoid the morning rush squeeze.

Here’s the thing that bumps this place up for me – it feels intentional rather than accidental. Someone clearly thought about what travelers actually need when they’re exploring a city like this. The 9.2 rating isn’t some fluke; it’s because they nail the basics while giving you that “I discovered something cool” feeling. Sure, it’s not going to have a rooftop pool or marble everything, but when you’re spending your days wandering cobblestone streets and your evenings trying local wine bars, you just want a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t eat your entire budget. Plus – and this might sound weird – but the whole place smells right, like they use actual cleaning products instead of those synthetic “fresh linen” sprays that give you a headache.

  One of the best apartments I've ever stayed in. The apartment was clean, warm, fully equipped and also with really nice coffee. Under the apartment there are many many coffee shops and supermarkets. Also, they leaved a really sweet message to me and I found it mindful.

  Everything was great since the time we came. We also got greeted with a nice message and some polish sweets and water which was amazing after a long journey. Apartment was very clean, well equipped, comfortable and most important in that cold weather it was warm. Downstairs Starbucks and small store to buy some necessities which was great. It was close to literally everywhere. Security from the building was nice and helpful, just like person renting. Overall we had an amazing stay. We will be back soon ❤️
