Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked Owsiana 9 – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, right? But this modern apartment in Praga Południe turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you want to tell everyone about it. The location is actually pretty smart if you know Warsaw at all – you’re in this quiet residential pocket that feels authentically Polish, not touristy, but you can still get to the center without any drama. The balcony was what sold me initially (I mean, who doesn’t want outdoor space in a city apartment?), and it delivers. You get this nice view over the neighborhood rooftops, and in the evening you can hear the gentle hum of local life – people coming home from work, kids playing in the courtyards. It’s the kind of soundscape that makes you feel like you’re actually living somewhere, not just passing through.

The apartment itself screams modern design, but in a good way – clean lines, everything works properly, and whoever furnished it actually thought about how people live. The kitchen has real counter space (you know how rare that is in European city apartments), and there’s proper storage so you’re not living out of your suitcase the whole time. I particularly loved how much natural light floods in during the day – those big windows make the space feel way bigger than it probably is. The WiFi was solid, which matters if you’re working remotely, and the shower had actual water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in older Warsaw buildings. Check-in was smooth with Noclegi Renters – they’re pretty responsive and seem to know their stuff about the local area.

What really won me over was how this place sits in the neighborhood. Praga Południe has this great mix of old Warsaw character and newer development, so you get authentic pierogi spots alongside decent coffee shops that aren’t trying too hard. There’s a Żabka convenience store literally around the corner (lifesaver for late-night snack runs), and the public transport connections are actually better than you’d think – the bus routes get you to central Warsaw pretty efficiently, though I found myself walking more than expected because the area’s quite pleasant for strolling. Parking was surprisingly manageable if you’re driving, which isn’t always a given in Warsaw. The building itself is well-maintained and quiet – I never had issues with noise from neighbors, even on weekend nights. Sure, it’s not going to give you that historic Old Town atmosphere, but if you want to experience Warsaw like someone who actually lives here rather than just hitting the tourist spots, this apartment nails that vibe perfectly. Plus, at this price point with these amenities and that 8.5 rating, it’s honestly hard to find much to complain about.

  The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. It would be nice to have a small caddy or a shelf in the shower to put your shampoo etc on rather than on the floor. The place is at a quiet 4 floor high apartment block close to a tram stop which takes 15 min to get to the old town.
  
  What could be improved: We couldn't get into the apartment as the key safe code given by the property management company was incorrect. They were not able to help and couldn't get through to the property caretaker. After nearly 1 hour of trying random codes,we finally got the right one. On checkout day we did not appreciate a moody and rude cleaner asking us to get out at 11.02 ( with checkout time being 11). When I said we just needed 10 extra minutes to finish getting dressed she did she didn't care. No hello or goodbye from her either. She really stressed us out.

  Location was good – a block away from a few stores and area felt safe.
  The street parking was easy in the evening and on the weekends.
  The apartment was well-stocked, kitchen was functional and had almost everything we needed, washing machine worked well and was quiet.
  
  What could be improved: We wished there was an AC there. It wasn't a big drawback not having it, as the weather wasn't hot and opening the balcony door was sufficient (it did bring flies in).
  I would have replaced the frying pans that were there -they weren't really usable.

  When I first entered the apartment, I felt as if I had entered home. The apartment is very clean, comfortable. The atmosphere is calm and complete comfort. The interior of the apartment is very welcoming. Near the house there is everything you need. A few minutes walk there is a good park with lakes where there are wild ducks and swans. Shops, public transport are all close to the house.

  The place is lovely and well located, close to a supermarket. It’s cozy and feels lived in.
  
  What could be improved: There was nothing in the kitchen. Not even salt or pepper or olive oil and the closest supermarket only sells olive oil in 1 liter containers.

  The location was ideal for what we were there for.
  
  What could be improved: Horrible communication from the host. We were told in the afternoon that we wouldn't be able to checkin until 8:30pm. After multiple messages to the host there was zero response from them for over 5 hours. We needed a place to change and shower, but the apartment was not cleaned and they would not offer a cancellation or respond to messages. Their offer for this was a whole extra hour for check out. They stated it never happens, but we got a message that was meant for the people staying the next night stating the same thing.
