Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Pańska” on my booking confirmation, I had no idea how to pronounce it (it’s PAHN-ska, by the way). But this little 3-star gem right in Warsaw’s city center turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t caught onto yet.

The location is actually pretty perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without paying those crazy Old Town prices. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the main shopping drag on Nowy Świat, and I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and grab pierogi from the little place around the corner – I did that more than once, honestly. What really sold me though was the air conditioning. I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many European hotels still think opening a window counts as climate control. When I visited in July, those AC units were absolute lifesavers, especially since the top floors can get pretty toasty during those unexpectedly hot Polish summers.

The whole place has this unpretentious vibe that I really appreciated – no marble lobbies or pretentious doormen, just clean, comfortable rooms and staff who actually seem to care about whether you find what you’re looking for in the city. The woman at the front desk (wish I remembered her name) gave me this hand-drawn map with all her personal restaurant recommendations, which honestly was worth more than any fancy concierge service. My room was on the quieter side facing the courtyard, though I could still hear the trams rumbling by in the morning – not unpleasant, just very… Warsaw, you know? The whole setup feels more like staying at a well-run guesthouse than a corporate hotel, which might not be everyone’s thing, but it worked for me. That 9.0 rating makes total sense once you realize what they’re going for here – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails the basics and then some. Plus, the price point means you’ll have plenty left over for those amazing milk bars and maybe a night out in Praga district.

Hotel in Warsaw booking should be done early, especially during major cultural festivals when the city hosts internationally significant music and arts events.

The location is great. It is a short walk from the train station. There is a main tram stop (Rondo Onz) about a 3 minute walk. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby as well as a Starbucks. The building had an elevator. The apartment was a good size with a small patio. The kitchenette had a four burner stovetop, refrigerator, and a washing machine. A drying rack was provided. Shampoo and body wash were provided. The air conditioning was very helpful since it was very warm during my stay.
