Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Peanut Premium Apartment in Ochota – I mean, the name alone made me wonder what I was getting into. But honestly, this place completely surprised me in the best way possible. Ochota isn’t exactly the postcard part of Warsaw that everyone talks about, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where locals actually live, not some touristy bubble. The apartment building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Polish architecture from the communist era, but don’t let that fool you – once you get inside, it’s a completely different story.

The moment I walked into my unit, I actually stopped and looked around twice because the photos online really don’t do it justice. Everything feels premium without being stuffy – you’ve got these clean lines, modern fixtures, and honestly some of the most comfortable furniture I’ve encountered in any rental apartment. The kitchen is probably better equipped than my own back home, which is saying something. What really got me was the attention to detail – like, they actually have proper blackout curtains (lifesaver if you’re dealing with jet lag), and the Wi-Fi is legitimately fast, not that painful hotel internet that barely loads your email. The bathroom has this rainfall showerhead that I may have spent way too much time enjoying, and there’s actually decent water pressure, which… well, if you’ve traveled around Eastern Europe much, you know that’s not always a given.

Here’s the thing about staying in Ochota – you’re maybe fifteen minutes by tram to get to Old Town or the Palace of Culture, but you’re also walking distance to some genuinely great local spots that most tourists never discover. There’s this little pierogi place around the corner that doesn’t even have an English menu, but the owner’s daughter speaks perfect English and will walk you through everything. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see the same faces at the corner shop, and honestly, it made me feel more connected to the city than staying in some glossy hotel near the tourist sites ever could. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s street parking right outside that doesn’t cost a fortune, and I never had trouble finding a spot, even coming back late in the evening. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the building entrance can be a bit tricky to find at first (it’s around the side, not where you’d expect), but once you figure it out, you’re golden. For what you’re paying, especially compared to the international chain hotels in the city center, this place delivers way more value and character. I’d absolutely stay here again.

To book hotel in Warsaw during the famous Warsaw Autumn music festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

We were very satisfied. Easy and clear access instructions. Lift in the house. The flat is clean. There are almost all necessary appliances: induction hob, kettle, washing machine, hairdryer, iron. Enough sockets. Interesting design of the flat. You can see that the apartment is popular – there are traces of wear and tear, but they are not critical.
The apartments have high ceilings and this adds space and air to the apartment
Air conditioning is a huge asset in this flat. Split system works separately, in the living room and bedroom you can set your own comfort. The windows face south-east and in hot weather the air conditioning was a lifesaver.
Towels are clean, two per person. The bed linen was fresh and already made. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable enough. Blankets were provided.
Excellent washing machine with drying function. The weather allowed us to dry our laundry on the balcony on the small tumble dryer. This option was very comfortable for us too.
There was sufficient crockery in the kitchen, although cutlery could be added. Large fridge with freezer compartment. Tea and sugar were available but no salt or condiments.
Shops and cafeterias in very close proximity.
Soap and shampoo available but dishwashing tablets were only 2 for our 6 night stay as a family of 4. Toilet paper was also sufficient. We had almost everything we needed for a comfortable week's stay, and what we didn't have we could buy in the nearest shop.
