So I stumbled across Piękna Yellow Studio during my last trip to Warsaw, and honestly? It’s one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your booking skills. The name’s a dead giveaway – there’s actually quite a bit of yellow in the design, which sounds cheesy but somehow works really well. It’s tucked away on Piękna Street in Śródmieście, and I mean properly tucked away – you’ll walk past that heavy wooden door at 11A at least twice before realizing that’s actually it. The entrance is sort of understated in that very Polish way, but once you’re inside, the whole vibe shifts to something much more contemporary and, well, studio-like.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of things. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Palace of Culture (you know, that massive Stalin-era tower everyone has opinions about), but the street itself has this residential feel that most tourists never experience. The walls are thick enough that you won’t hear your neighbors, which is saying something for a converted building in this part of town. I stayed there during one of those gray November weeks when Warsaw gets properly moody, and the warm lighting inside was exactly what I needed after trudging around the old town all day. The studio setup is clever too – everything flows together without feeling cramped, and there’s actually enough counter space to spread out your stuff, which anyone who’s stayed in European city hotels will tell you is basically a miracle.

The location really grew on me the longer I stayed. You’ve got that whole strip of cafes and small restaurants along Nowy Świat just a few blocks away, but you’re also close enough to the Vistula that you can walk down to the riverbank when you need to escape the city buzz for a bit. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly formal hotel reception drama, just someone who actually seemed to know the neighborhood and gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t tourist traps. I mean, the 8.2 rating makes sense when you experience the place; it’s not trying to be the fanciest option in Warsaw, but everything works the way it should, and there’s this attention to detail that you notice in small ways throughout your stay. The shower pressure was excellent (seriously underrated when you’re traveling), and I loved that they’d stocked the kitchenette with actual decent coffee, not those sad instant packets you usually get. If you’re the type who likes to feel like you’re staying somewhere with character rather than just passing through another generic hotel room, this place delivers on that front.

  Generous sized apartment, comfortable bed, good temperature control, sufficient storage for clothes. The balcony is good.
  
  What could be improved: Electrical problem, probably with the oven. Management wouldn’t send someone to look unless we made a video of the problem. How do you video an intermittent short circuit?
  Also, shower fitting is too low, water sprays across the bathroom floor (my wife slipped on the wet floor).
  The furniture is sparse and the sofa faces away from the television.
  The distance from the old city is about 25 minutes walk.

  The apartment is spacious, cozy, stylish and clean. It's well equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is awesome! We enjoyed our stay a lot!
  
  What could be improved: The look from the window faces the opposite institution, so light day curtains would be nice to have. The kitchen could have a bit more necessities, e.g. like olive oil.

  Spacious appartement close to the city centre. All the needed facilities were available. Clean and very new. Contact free check-in/out was perfect, all the information was sent to me in multiple ways before arriving.

  Whole appartement block still seems not 100% finished.

  Convenient location, easy get to any part of the city. The house is renovated, the entrance is clean and bright. Amazing design of the apartment, especially the bathroom.
  
  What could be improved: When we moved in, the floor was dirty so we had to wear slippers. The washing machine and dishwasher did not work, the error was somehow connected with the water supply. Maybe we were doing something wrong. The windows of the apartments overlook the office building, so on weekdays we have to curtain the windows for privacy.

  What could be improved: We booked and paid prior to our arrival for this accommodation for three people including a minor child from May 21 to 28. But when we arrived in the evening of May 21 and opened the apartment, an unpleasant surprise awaited us! We could not move into the apartment. The apartment was not just dirty! The toilet flush was broken and the wires were hanging over the sink! The bed linen was all in creepy stains and condoms were lying around the floor, everything was scattered and poop-covered … This is not what you want to see after a long flight with your husband and underage daughter! Believe me! We were afraid to touch anything. Restroom and whole living space were unusable. They refused to refund our money because they assured us that there was a malfunction and they did not clean it, but after cleaning it would be suitable for living. We arrived there on May 24, after cleaning, but we saw that this did not happen. In the apartment, they took the dirty linen from the bed and left it turned over, and left everything else dirty! There was trash and dirt and condoms! Clean linen was piled up on the sofa! All this dirt and condoms were left in its places! We were not able to use the apartment because it was uninhabitable during our stay in Poland from May 21 to 28. And we had to quickly and urgently look for housing for this time, paying a lot of money in addition to what we expected! My daughter was psychologically traumatized! I was simply crushed and felt helpless and unprotected, held hostage by people who refuse to return my money for a service that was never provided to me!
