You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Platinum Residence – honestly, the name sounds a bit try-hard – but this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s got that solid 4-star vibe without being stuffy about it, and after staying here a few times over the years, I can see why it consistently pulls those high ratings.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff actually remembers you. Not in that forced, over-the-top way some hotels do, but more like… well, like they genuinely want to help. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feeling – leather chairs that are actually comfortable (not just for show), and there’s usually some subtle music playing that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in an elevator. I mean, it’s polished enough that you feel like you’re staying somewhere nice, but not so fancy that you’re afraid to put your feet up. The rooms are honestly pretty spacious for what you pay – I’ve definitely stayed at pricier places with half the room to move around. The beds are firm but not rock-hard (my back appreciated that), and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work, which is huge if you’re trying to sleep off jet lag or just want to sleep in on vacation.

What really won me over, though, were all those little details that show someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need. The shower pressure is excellent – and stays hot even during busy morning hours. There’s enough outlets near the desk area that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and your laptop. The mini-fridge actually gets cold enough to keep things properly chilled, and there’s real hangers in the closet instead of those annoying attached ones you can’t use. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free too, which honestly can make or break a stay depending on where you’re traveling. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet most evenings, though you might hear some street activity if you’re on the lower floors during weekends – nothing major, just the usual city sounds.

I’ll be straight with you though, the breakfast isn’t going to blow your mind or anything. It’s decent – fresh enough, good coffee, standard options – but don’t expect anything too creative. And while the fitness center has the basics covered, it’s definitely more of a “maintenance workout” situation than a serious gym. But here’s the thing: for the price point and that solid 8.5 rating it’s earned, Platinum Residence delivers exactly what it promises. It’s the kind of place where everything just works smoothly, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out during your video calls, and you can actually relax without constantly thinking about what’s going wrong or what you’re missing out on. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need from a hotel stay.

  Large apartment, comfy bed and great air conditioning. Ironing board facilities, full kitchen with bowls etc included. There is also a shop downstairs within the building that sells food, drinks, toothbrushes etc.
