Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first saw the address listed as Wileńska 14 but the name says Namysłowska 6c, I was a bit confused. Turns out it’s one of those quirky Warsaw apartment situations where the building entrance might be on one street but the actual unit faces another. Once you figure that out though, you’re golden. The location in Praga Północ is actually pretty solid – I mean, this neighborhood has really come into its own over the past few years. You’re about a 15-minute walk to the Vistula riverbank, and honestly, that walk through the residential streets gives you a much better feel for how actual Varsovians live than staying in the touristy Old Town bubble. The area around Wileńska has this nice mix of old communist-era blocks and newer developments, plus you’ve got some decent local bars and that amazing Georgian restaurant (I think it’s called Khinkali?) just a few streets over that most tourists never find.

The apartments themselves are pretty much what you’d expect from a solid 3-star setup – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s clean. The 7.8 rating feels about right to me. I stayed there during a rainy October week and appreciated that the heating actually functioned properly, which isn’t always a given in these converted buildings. The kitchen setup is basic but functional if you want to grab groceries from the Żabka down the street, though honestly the coffee maker was kind of terrible – I ended up walking to that little café near the tram stop most mornings. Speaking of trams, you’re really well connected here. The number 3 line gets you to the city center in maybe 20 minutes, and during rush hour it’s actually faster than trying to drive or take a taxi through all that traffic around the Palace of Culture area. Parking can be a bit of a headache if you’ve got a rental car – it’s mostly street parking and you know how that goes in any European city. The building itself is quiet enough, though you’ll definitely hear some street noise in the mornings when people are heading to work. Check-in was straightforward, no drama there, and the person who met me spoke decent English which always helps when you’re tired from traveling.

What I really liked about staying here was feeling like I was actually in Warsaw rather than in some sanitized hotel zone. You’ll hear Polish conversations in the courtyard, smell someone’s dinner cooking, see kids playing football in the little park nearby – it’s real life, you know? The Praga side of the river has this slightly grittier, more authentic vibe compared to the polished city center, but it never felt unsafe or sketchy. Just lived-in. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to experience a place rather than just check off tourist sites, this works really well. Sure, you’re not getting room service or a concierge, but you’re also not paying those prices either. For what it is – a decent, affordable base in an interesting neighborhood with good transport links – it does the job quite well.

    Big apartment. The kitchen had most of the things you might need. Close to the metro station.

    What could be improved: The sofa/bed was a bit dirty. The bed in the bedroom was small for two persons.

    What could be improved: A lot of the sockets in the apartment do not work. I had problems taking out the garbage (I couldn't find the bin). I did not like the need to pay a deposit.

    In general, for this money and almost in the very center of the capital – everything was very good. 10 minutes to the subway, 6 minutes to the tram. Underground parking directly from the elevator is very convenient. The parking lot is designed for passenger cars only. Somewhere up to 190 cm tall. Clean. Fenced area. Polite manager who communicates in several languages. At least, besides the Polish language, I could get answers in English and Ukrainian.

    What could be improved: Old sheets. Not comfortable mattresses. The deposit returned to my card only on the tenth day. Although to tell the truth – judging by the bank statement – the company sent the transfer on the day of departure. A confusing moment with the keys – you need the keys to drive in. So to take the keys you have to leave the car somewhere. Parking is paid. The parking meter only wanted cash… It would also be good if the managers called back if they were unable to answer the call.

    The underground parking, easy check-in/out process, microwave oven, toaster, dishwasher provided.

    What could be improved: Although the apartment seemed clean, but the walls are in black scratches, which makes the rooms look worn. We found few plates in the cupboard dirty and oily.
    But the biggest downside is that the apartment looks totally different from pictures. It is obviously the same place, but some furniture (eg. Sofa bed or table) are not the same and pictures do not reflect the state of walls. No details like decorative pillows or bed covers were there, so it looks much worse that the pictures.

    Good location and the car parking space is a bonus.

    What could be improved: The place was not clean (mainly the bathroom); the wi-fi and TV were not working; the sofa bed was dirty and not comfy at all. We were not given enough towels (after complaining, the additional towels were given to us only on the 2nd day in the afternoon). The host wasn't helpful, nothing was done about the wi-fi. When I compare the apartment to other apartments I stayed in Warsaw (for the similar price), this one scores really poorly.
