Look, I’ll be honest with you – P&O Apartments Zawiszy isn’t going to blow you away with fancy lobbies or marble everything, but it’s actually a pretty solid choice if you want to stay somewhere that feels more like Warsaw and less like generic hotel land. The building sits on Zawiszy street in Wola, which I know sounds like you’re staying in the middle of nowhere, but you’re actually in this interesting pocket of the city that’s sort of between the business district and the more residential areas. You know what I mean? It’s not tourist central, but that’s honestly refreshing. The apartments themselves are clean and functional – think IKEA meets Eastern European practicality, which works better than it sounds. The kitchenettes are small but they’ve got everything you actually need (I made coffee every morning and even attempted some pasta one night). The beds are decent, though the pillows are a bit on the firm side if that matters to you.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Wola isn’t exactly party central, so you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 3am. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll see actual Varsovians going about their day, grabbing groceries, walking their dogs. There’s a Żabka convenience store pretty close by (because there’s always a Żabka), and if you walk maybe ten minutes toward the center, you hit some decent restaurants that aren’t trying to separate tourists from their money. The metro connection isn’t terrible either – you’re not right on top of a station, but it’s walkable, and honestly, Warsaw’s public transport is pretty reliable once you figure it out.

The staff at P&O are straightforward in that Polish way – they’re not going to chat your ear off, but they know their stuff and they’ll sort you out if something goes wrong. Check-in was smooth, no drama with the key cards, and when I had a question about the washing machine (yes, there’s a tiny one in the unit), they actually showed me how to use it instead of just shrugging. The whole place has this no-nonsense vibe that I found refreshing after staying in places that try too hard. Is it luxury? Definitely not. Will you have a perfectly comfortable base for exploring Warsaw without spending a fortune? Absolutely. The 7.9 rating makes sense – it’s doing exactly what it promises without any surprises, good or bad. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and turndown service, look elsewhere, but if you want a clean, quiet place to crash with enough space to spread out a bit, this works really well.

  What could be improved: First of all – the location of the apartment was different than advertised (1km from what was in the apartment description, incl. GPS location and maps). The pictures from within the apartment and the reality are two different things (the reality being much worse), in terms of furniture, kitchen, bathroom, etc. It is a rather used apartment, requiring serious refreshment. The apartment was not clean – or rather very lightly cleaned (cobwebs with dust in the corners, dirty floors). Dirty ironing machine (destroyed one of the shirts), no ironing board. Also, the place is very acoustic (neighbors noises). Overall, not recommended

  What could be improved: Stuff very impolite, comunication terible. I have to search for apartment more then 90 minutes whit children at the late evening because of wrong address. It's supost tu be just quick stop for rest. But because of this miserable situation I couldn't sleep. Seems we are being mocked.
