Hotel Description
You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Warsaw, but Pod arkadami really caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. The location alone is just… well, it’s pretty much perfect if you ask me. Right there on Nowy Świat, which honestly feels like the heartbeat of the city. I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that matters – the Royal Route stretching out in front of you, cafes that locals actually frequent (not just tourist traps), and you can walk to the Old Town in about fifteen minutes if you’re not stopping to window shop every few meters. The building itself has this old-world charm thing going on, and yeah, it’s on the first floor (which is actually the second floor if you’re American like me – took me a minute to figure that out), but the elevator works fine and the hallways have this quiet, almost residential feel that I really appreciated after long days of sightseeing.
The apartment – because that’s really what it feels like, not some sterile hotel room – has this cozy, lived-in quality that somehow manages to feel both elegant and comfortable. The windows face out toward the street, so you get a bit of the Nowy Świat energy without it being overwhelming. I was worried about noise, honestly, because that street can get pretty lively, especially on weekends, but the windows are surprisingly good at keeping things peaceful. The kitchen area is actually functional (I made coffee there every morning instead of hunting down cafes), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that makes you want to stay in there way longer than necessary. What really sold me though was all the little details – proper hangers in the closet, decent lighting for reading, outlets where you actually need them. You can tell someone who travels put thought into this place.
I’ll be honest, the 9.4 rating seemed almost too good to be true when I booked, but after staying there? Yeah, I get it. The check-in process was smooth – they actually met me at the building since it’s an apartment setup, which was way better than fumbling around with lockboxes or whatever. And the neighborhood… look, I’ve stayed near the Palace of Culture area and down by the river, but this spot just feels more authentic somehow. You’ve got that amazing ice cream place (Lody na Patyku) literally around the corner, the morning farmers market on Saturdays that most tourists miss completely, and you’re close enough to Krakowskie Przedmieście that you can people-watch for hours if that’s your thing. The metro station at Nowy Świat-Uniwersytet is maybe a three-minute walk, so getting around the city is ridiculously easy. I mean, if you’re planning to spend most of your time in Warsaw’s center – and honestly, why wouldn’t you – this place just makes sense. It’s not cheap exactly, but for what you get and where you are, it feels fair. I’d definitely book it again.
Apartments in Warsaw provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Polish markets and cook with regional culinary specialties.

Great location for the city or Old Town. Local supermarket over the road and 20 minute walk into the Old Town for food if you didn't want to stay local. The kitchen is over stocked with glasses, cutlery and china so you're never short of a plate or two! Nice size apartment to use as a base.
Exceptional – Danijel from Croatia – October 22, 2024 (10/10)

A lovely flat overall and highly recommend it. Spacious, quiet and safe location, 25 minutes walk to old town, convenience store on the corner of the road, 2 bathrooms, pleasant well equipped kitchen and living area. Beautiful trees, around, balcony overlooking a park. Very relaxing.
What could be improved: No lock on bathroom door, one shower was inconsistent temperature, some visitors might find access a little difficult as taxi drop off is across a small park with a number of steps.Very Good – Julianna from United States – May 1, 2024 (8/10)
Host was accommodating and friendly. Great location. Cleanliness is at the top of my list and I was pleasantly satisfied with this apartment, including bathrooms. It was also comfortable with 3 little kids and a baby.
