The neighborhood has this nice residential feel where you’re not constantly hearing traffic or tourists dragging their suitcases down cobblestones at 6 AM. Plus – and this is huge if you’re traveling with luggage – there’s actually decent access for getting your stuff in and out. No hauling bags up three flights of narrow stairs or anything like that. The whole check-in process was pretty smooth too, though I’d recommend confirming the timing ahead of time since it’s not like a traditional hotel front desk situation. The attention to detail surprised me in little ways – good water pressure, plenty of outlets where you actually need them, and the WiFi didn’t cut out every time someone in the building turned on a microwave. Sometimes it’s the small stuff that makes or breaks a stay, you know?
