I spent more time figuring out public transport than I’d planned, honestly. The building looks decent enough from the outside, and getting the keys wasn’t a disaster, but that’s about where the smooth sailing ended.

Here’s the thing that really got me – and I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of rental apartments across different cities – the disconnect between what this place promises and what it delivers is pretty jarring. The photos must have been taken on the absolute best day possible, because what I walked into felt tired and neglected. The furniture looked like it had seen better decades, and there were these little maintenance issues everywhere that just shouldn’t exist in a supposedly 4-star property. The shower had this weird water pressure thing going on, the WiFi kept cutting out (which is basically a deal-breaker these days), and don’t get me started on the kitchen situation – I’ve seen better setups in hostels, to be honest.

The space itself isn’t bad – decent size, windows that let in good light, and the neighborhood grows on you once you get used to it. But it feels like whoever’s running this place just doesn’t care that much about the guest experience. I mean, when you’re charging 4-star prices, people expect 4-star attention to detail, you know? Instead, it felt more like staying in someone’s forgotten spare apartment that they occasionally remember to rent out. If you’re the type who just needs a roof and a bed and doesn’t sweat the small stuff, maybe it’ll work for you. But honestly? There are probably better ways to spend your accommodation budget in this city.
