Hotel Description

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from SleepWell Apartments when I first walked up to the building on Nowy Świat – I mean, you’re literally staying on one of Warsaw’s busiest shopping streets, so I figured it might be all tourist traps and noise. But you know what? The location actually works in your favor here. Sure, you’ve got the usual chain stores and cafes right outside your door, but step inside and it’s surprisingly quiet. The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed flat than a typical hotel room – there’s this lived-in quality that I really appreciated, with proper kitchenettes that actually have everything you need (not just a sad mini-fridge and a broken coffee maker like some places).

What really sold me on this place was how it sits right in that sweet spot between the Old Town tourist madness and the more residential areas. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the Royal Castle, but when you want to escape the crowds, you can duck into one of those little side streets off Nowy Świat where locals actually hang out. The staff seemed to get this too – they gave me directions to this tiny pierogi place on Foksal Street that I never would have found otherwise. The building itself has some character, though I’ll be honest, the elevator is one of those compact European ones that makes you question whether you really need that extra suitcase. Check-in was smooth enough, and they were pretty flexible when my train got delayed – which, if you’ve ever dealt with Polish railways, you know can be a real lifesaver.

I stayed during late spring when Warsaw gets that perfect weather, and I loved being able to walk everywhere from here. The apartment had these big windows that let in tons of light, and you could actually open them properly – not those tiny hotel windows that barely crack. The kitchen setup meant I could grab fresh bread from the bakery down the street and make proper coffee in the morning instead of relying on hotel breakfast schedules. There’s definitely some street noise during the day since you’re right on Nowy Świat, but it dies down at night, and honestly, I found the gentle hum of the city kind of comforting. The whole area has this energy that makes you want to explore – you’ll find yourself wandering toward Łazienki Park or popping into the little galleries tucked between the shops. For what you’re paying and that 8.9 rating, it really delivers on feeling like you’re living in Warsaw rather than just visiting it. Just pack light for that elevator, trust me on this one.

Reviews

  • Wonderful – Kadri from Estonia – August 11, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: All messages you sent could be still in englist not in Poland It would help to find if Hotell address in Booking.com will be the same as a reseption address.

  • Warsaw is nice to visit for the weekend. – Simona from Czech Republic – August 6, 2025 (8/10)

    It was nice and clean.

What could be improved: Breakfast was supposed to be included in the price, but this was only partially true. It is served in a café on the main street, and you are given a budget of 50 PLN. This means you can get a sandwich and a coffee, but anything beyond that you have to pay for yourself. I only found this out when I arrived at the café – it was not mentioned when I booked the room. This was a big disappointment for me, especially considering the price of the accommodation. So, if you enjoy a varied breakfast, I wouldn’t recommend this place, as you’ll end up spending extra.

Also, the café was quite crowded, and I had to wait a long time in line to order because there were only two staff members at the counter.

The entrance to the apartment was at the back of a building, through a courtyard and a parking area.
As a solo traveler, I did not feel so safe entering into the building at night.

  • Great Location! – Denise from Czech Republic – July 25, 2025 (9/10)

The communication with the owner , room upgrade with Nowy Swiat street view , nice room with tea and coffee. The location was perfect though scary at first because of the back entrance. But all good , safe for a solo senior lady traveller .Thank you for a great time in Warsaw. Will be back.!

  • Wonderful – Maghsoodi from Finland – July 18, 2025 (9/10)

The place was very cozy and beautiful and well situated in the city with nice access. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We truly slept well and we now know why it is named sleepwell 🌱🌱

What could be improved: There was no trash bin in the room and also a mirror in the room would make it much better

  • Exceptional – Anastasiia from Ukraine – July 12, 2025 (10/10)

Nice and clean freshly renovated apartment located in the city center. Huge plus is that it’s pet friendly and they even provided a bowl and a blanket for my dog 🐕

What could be improved: Not a minus for me, but consider that attic apartments are located on 4th floor and there is no elevator

Excellent set-up for exploring Warsaw – walking distance to many sites and good bus connections. Easy access and good security, gated parking also available. Pet friendly. Lovely breakfast arrangement with cafe/ bistro on the street level.

What could be improved: Airconditioning unit noisy and needs change or maintenance.
