Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Śliska Residence when I first walked up to number 3 on this quiet street in Śródmieście, but honestly, it turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you actually know Warsaw by the time you leave. The building itself has that understated Polish elegance – not flashy, but there’s something solid and reassuring about it that immediately puts you at ease. I mean, it’s a 3-star place, so you’re not getting marble lobbies or anything, but the whole vibe is just… comfortable, I guess? The kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name after the second day, and check-in doesn’t feel like you’re bothering them.

What really won me over was the location – and I’m not talking about some generic “convenient location” nonsense here. Śliska street is perfectly positioned so you can walk to the Palace of Culture in about ten minutes (though honestly, who wants to do that more than once), but more importantly, you’re right in the heart of where actual Varsovians hang out. There’s this little café around the corner that serves proper Polish breakfast – none of that tourist trap stuff – and the tram connections are actually useful. I spent most mornings walking down toward Nowy Świat, which becomes this lovely routine when you’re staying somewhere that feels like a neighborhood rather than a hotel district. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect for the price point, but they’re clean and the beds are surprisingly good. I’m usually a light sleeper, but Śliska is quiet enough that street noise wasn’t an issue – though I’d still request a room facing the courtyard if you’re really sensitive to sound.

The thing that bumped this place up in my mind was all the small stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. Hot water that stays hot, WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and – this might sound weird – but the lighting in the rooms is actually pleasant, not those harsh overhead bulbs that make everything look like a dentist’s office. Plus, the front desk folks seem to genuinely know the city well, not just the obvious tourist spots. When I asked about finding a good bookstore, they directed me to this amazing little place on Foksal that I never would have found otherwise. I mean, sure, there were a couple of minor things – the elevator is one of those tiny European ones that barely fits two people and their luggage, and breakfast isn’t included (though there are plenty of options nearby). But for the price and that 8.3 rating, it makes total sense. It’s the kind of place I’d actually book again, which honestly says more than any fancy amenities list ever could.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Warsaw at least two months ahead for major events like music festivals or business conferences, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near attractions.

Reviews

  • Recommended – Olivia from United Kingdom – August 3, 2025 (7/10)

Great host who accepted our reservation with very short notice. Very communicative host and comfortable stay in the apartment on Nowogrodzka.

What could be improved: Could do with some more cooking utensils but if you're eating out, it's got the basics.

  • Very Good – Eric from Germany – June 25, 2025 (8/10)

Although the building is a bit run-down, the apartment was bright, clean, and comfy.
The location is very central (it can be a bit noisy at times), just about two blocks from the main station with a couple of good options to eat nearby.

  • Centrally located with many stores and cafés around – Oleksandr from Ukraine – April 5, 2025 (8/10)

When you book this accommodation you need to pay attention to the exact address where you’ll be staying or double check it with the host as some of the apartments listed under this address are at a different location (generally in the Warszawa Centralna area). I booked an apartment which turned out to be on a high floor without an elevator (though an elevator was listed among the amenities). But the host kindly offered us to move to a different apartment. The apartment I originally booked was very quiet with all the windows facing the inner courtyard. There were some issues inside the apartments but I informed the host and he said he’d take care of them which is very kind of him.

  • Comfortable stay with great location and service – Pratik from Lithuania – February 4, 2025 (8/10)

Excellent location with a cozy apartment and convenient access to public transport. The apartment was well-equipped with all essential amenities and kitchen necessities. The owner was highly responsive and available throughout the stay, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.

What could be improved: The room was comfortable, though the heating could be improved for a better experience.

  • Wonderful – Dmitriy from Ukraine – August 7, 2024 (9/10)

Nice place! Great location, very clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: The trams outside make quite a noise. Lots of traffic on central street.

  • Everything was great. Thanks for the hospitality. – Katerina from Ukraine – December 14, 2023 (8/10)

Great location, right in the center. There is a grocery store and a shopping center nearby. The apartment is spacious. Beautiful view from the window. Pets are allowed in the apartments.

  • Very Good – Sivako from Poland – April 11, 2023 (8/10)

Easy access and mobility around the city, Great accommodation with amazing assistance, everything was provided upon request. Superb view of Warsaw Skyline. I recommend.

  • If you choose this flat it does not mean, that you get it – double check with the owner. – Egidijus from Lithuania – February 19, 2023 (7/10)

In the center (coffe shop, groceries shop was near), possibility to use a private parking for a additional price.

What could be improved: 1. Booked this apartament, but the last minute got the other one in a different place (got very unleasant surprise, because were separated from friends).
    2. The spark in the stove didn’t work and no mathes or lighter were left.
    3. Few towels were VERY wear out.
    4. Considerable noise from outside during the night.
    5. Very long answerring time from the owner before the trip.

  • Good for location and Specious apartment. – Maruf from Bangladesh – February 7, 2023 (7/10)

The apartment is specious and good location.

What could be improved: Bedding and cooking facility is not standard.
Pillows, Blankets, Bed is not good in condition. Cooking dishes was dirty and burner was not automated. Also the kitchen cutlery and other stuffs is not sufficient for cooking.
The annoying is that the address which has stated at booking.com which is not the correct address. One before the check in we had been noticed by the apartment management advised that our apartment is different place. (al. Jerozolimskie 29).
Another point is that the apartment located at 7th floor but lift/elevator facility up-to 6th floor. So those who has enough luggage you have carry these by stairs.
    Rest are good.

  • Exceptional – Krzysztof from Poland – April 30, 2025 (10/10)

    Self checkin
