Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about Smolna Apartments – it’s one of those places that really grows on you once you figure out what you’re getting into. The location is honestly fantastic if you know Warsaw at all. You’re right in Śródmieście, which means you can walk to pretty much everything that matters. I mean, the Old Town is maybe a 15-minute stroll, and you’ve got the metro at Świętokrzyska just a few blocks away. The building itself sits on this quiet side street (well, Smolna 11 technically, though the entrance situation is a bit confusing with the whole 10/11 address thing – don’t worry, you’ll find it). What I really loved was how you’re tucked away from the main tourist chaos but still close enough that you can hear the city humming in the background.
The apartments themselves are… well, they’re exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star setup. Nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s clean. The kitchenettes are actually pretty functional – I managed to make decent coffee every morning and even cooked a simple dinner one night with groceries from the Żabka down the street. The beds are comfortable enough, though the pillows are a bit on the firm side if that matters to you. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re smack in the middle of the city. The windows do a decent job blocking out street noise, though you’ll still catch the occasional tram rumbling by on the bigger streets nearby. Check-in was smooth – they’ve got this whole digital key system that actually works (shocking, I know), and the staff responds pretty quickly if you need anything.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I booked: parking is going to be an adventure if you’re driving. There’s some street parking around, but honestly, you’re better off using public transport or just walking everywhere. The neighborhood has this great lived-in feel – you’ve got locals doing their shopping at the small grocery stores, kids playing in the courtyards, that sort of thing. It doesn’t feel touristy at all, which I personally loved. The 7.5 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does exactly what it promises without any major surprises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel more like a temporary resident than a tourist. Just don’t expect a fancy lobby or room service – this is more about having a comfortable base while you explore one of Europe’s most underrated capitals.

Wonderful – Slawomir from Poland – January 22, 2023 (9/10)
Very well equipped apartment. Very easy check-in and pick-up of the keys, even late in the evening. The apartment is clean with a nice view to National museums located on the other side of the Street. Nowy Świat just within a three minute walk!
What could be improved: Disturbing noise from a neighbouring discoteke makes the rest quite difficult throughout the night.Pleasant – Taner from Sweden – September 26, 2024 (6/10)
It is conveniently located near a bus/tram stop and close to the main street, where there are many restaurants. Shampoo and shower gel were provided.
What could be improved: Needs refurbishment (not like in pictures – chairs old and bathroom door swollen) and more coffee capsules could be provided. The room may be noisy during the night due to tram.nice communication, great location and perfect price – Karīna from Latvia – March 16, 2024 (8/10)
excellent location
What could be improved: very tight for four peopleVery Good – Maria from Ukraine – September 12, 2023 (8/10)
The room was small but contained everything necessary for a comfortable stay – a bathroom with shampoo and shower gel, clean towels, a built-in kitchen with appliances and kitchenware, a fridge, and even a coffee machine.
What could be improved: The street the window opened to was very noisy – it has six lanes for traffic and two for trams.Wonderful – Carolina from Finland – September 6, 2023 (9/10)
Very good apartment! Comfortable, spacious, well equipped, and with a lot of light. Facing a big avenue, so if you have problems with car noise, it can be an issue, I didn’t mind it. Truly recommend it!
Wonderful – Jolita from Lithuania – July 11, 2023 (9/10)
Perfect location. Small, but nice and clean apartment.
What could be improved: Air conditioner would be very helpful as it was very hot inside. Big noise from street when windows were opened.Highly recommended – Hugo from Argentina – January 31, 2023 (8/10)
Everything was just as in the description. The location of the apartment is excellent. Easy to find. Close to the main part of the city. Everything was clean.
What could be improved: Having at least one chair would be OKWonderful – Dorotaswiech from Poland – September 18, 2022 (9/10)
What could be improved: I didn't like the fact that the bed was not one big bed for 2 ppl. but 2 single beds put together which were
Pleasant – Sigurdg from Lithuania – August 1, 2024 (6/10)
The location is good, located right near the historical center of the city. Windows overlook the sunny side. Host was very informative on how to find the and provided information in a well organized manner.
What could be improved: The beds were broken and it was impossible to have a good night sleep. You cant see that on the pictures, but the apartment is a bit worn out and needs some refurbishment. Some extra efforts could be done on the cleaning side, since the area was a bit dusty. We do not like to come to the apartment and try to fix the beds, so we could sleep on them. We have had made the booking for 2 days, but had to cancel due to the state of the apartment.
