You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first booked the Śródmieście Homely Apartment – I mean, “homely” doesn’t exactly scream luxury, right? But honestly, that name is probably the most accurate hotel description I’ve ever encountered. This place genuinely feels like staying at your well-traveled friend’s apartment, if that friend happened to have impeccable taste and lived right in the heart of Warsaw’s old town district.

The location is what really got me – you’re literally in Śródmieście, which means you can stumble out the door and be at the Royal Castle in about ten minutes on foot. I actually found myself walking everywhere because the trams and buses are so close, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by those narrow cobblestone streets that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that’s hard to find in regular hotels. The furniture feels substantial, not like that flimsy hotel stuff that wobbles when you touch it. There’s actually a proper kitchen – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation – which came in handy when I grabbed fresh bread and local cheese from the market on Nowy Świat Street. The beds are legitimately comfortable (I’m talking real pillows, not those sad pancake things), and the whole place has these little touches that make you think someone actually cares about the details. Natural light floods in during the day, and you can hear the gentle hum of city life without it being overwhelming – though I’ll be honest, Friday and Saturday nights can get a bit lively with people heading to the bars nearby.

What really sets this apart is how it bridges that gap between authentic local living and tourist comfort. You’re not getting the sterile hotel experience, but you’re also not roughing it in some sketchy hostel. The 8.7 rating makes total sense because while it’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, it absolutely nails what it is trying to be. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no pretentious lobby nonsense, just practical information and genuine helpfulness. I ended up extending my stay by two nights because, honestly, I didn’t want to leave. If you’re the type of traveler who’d rather feel like a temporary local than a passing tourist, this place gets it right in a way that’s becoming harder and harder to find.

  Very cosy appartment, close to city center and lot of atractions. We got everything we needed 😀 we also got welcome snacks and toiletries in the bathroom. Everything was perfect.

  Location was great, the building itself is a bit old but adds to the charm. Friendly host who gave us all the necessary information for a quick entry. Apartment is very clean and is well furnished.

  The location is great! It's located in the heart of the city centar. You have everything nearby from markets, restaurants, bars, shopping center, transport stations and much more!
  The apartment is exactly the same as you see in the pictures, it was very clean and new. I would definitely come to the same apartment again next time!
