Overview

You know what? Studio 4 completely caught me off guard. I mean, when you see “3-star” you’re not exactly expecting miracles, but this place punches way above its weight class – and that 9.4 rating actually makes sense once you’ve been there.

First thing you notice walking in is how they’ve nailed that whole boutique vibe without trying too hard. The lobby’s got this understated thing going on, sort of industrial-chic but warm at the same time. Check-in was honestly one of the smoothest I’ve experienced – the staff actually seemed like they wanted to be there, which is rarer than it should be. My room (I stayed in one of their corner studios) had these huge windows that let in amazing natural light, and the bed was… well, let’s just say I slept better than I have in months. The bathroom’s compact but clever – they’ve managed to fit everything you need without it feeling cramped, plus the water pressure is surprisingly strong.

What really sets Studio 4 apart though is all the little details they’ve thought through. The kitchenette actually has proper cookware, not those sad plastic utensils most places give you. There’s decent storage space, which sounds boring but trust me, when you’re living out of a suitcase it matters. The Wi-Fi is fast enough for video calls (tested it extensively working from the room), and they’ve got these blackout curtains that actually work – none of that thin fabric nonsense where streetlights keep you up all night. Speaking of which, it’s surprisingly quiet considering we’re talking about a city location. I was on the fourth floor and barely heard any street noise, though I’d probably avoid the lower floors just to be safe. The neighborhood has this great energy during the day but settles down nicely in the evenings. There’s a coffee shop literally next door that opens at 6 AM (lifesaver if you’re dealing with jet lag), and you’re walking distance to some genuinely good restaurants – not just tourist traps but places where locals actually eat. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle, but the front desk will point you toward a garage about two blocks away that has reasonable rates.

Honestly, I went in with pretty modest expectations and left genuinely impressed. Studio 4 feels like what happens when someone actually stays in their own hotel and fixes all the annoying stuff. It’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s thoughtful and comfortable in ways that matter more than fancy marble or whatever. If you’re looking for a place that just works without drama, this is it.
