You know what caught me off guard about Sunny Mokotow? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – the apartment gets this amazing natural light throughout the day, especially in the morning when you’re having coffee by those big windows. I mean, for a 3-star place, I wasn’t expecting much, but honestly, this spot punches way above its weight.

The location is what really sold me on this place. Being right near the metro in Mokotow means you’re sort of in this sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in a proper Warsaw neighborhood (not some touristy bubble), but you can still get to the Old Town or city center in maybe 15-20 minutes. The Wilanowska metro station is practically around the corner, and there’s this little convenience store downstairs that I ended up visiting way too often for snacks and decent coffee. What I loved was walking around the area in the evenings – it’s got that authentic residential vibe with families heading home from work, kids playing in the courtyards, you know? Very different from staying in some generic hotel district.

The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully it’s set up. Everything actually works – and I say that as someone who’s stayed in plenty of places where half the appliances are just for show. The kitchen has proper pots and pans (not those flimsy tourist apartment ones), the shower has good water pressure, and the bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back. I appreciated the little details too, like having actual hangers in the closet and a full-length mirror. The Wi-Fi was solid, which mattered since I was doing some work during my stay. If I’m being completely honest, the decor isn’t going to win any design awards – it’s pretty standard modern apartment stuff – but it’s clean and functional, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The building itself is quiet, at least on the floor I was on, though you do get some street noise if you leave the windows open during rush hour. Check-in was straightforward – they sent clear instructions beforehand, and the key pickup was hassle-free. That 9.5 rating doesn’t surprise me at all; for the price point and what you get, especially with that metro access, it’s honestly hard to beat in this part of Warsaw.
