You know what? I was honestly surprised by SuperApart Chełmska 22 when I first walked in. The building itself is pretty unassuming from the street – just another residential block in Mokotów – but once you’re inside, it’s actually quite nice. The apartments are way more spacious than what you’d typically get in central Warsaw for the price, and I mean genuinely spacious, not just “European spacious.” The kitchenettes are properly equipped too (I actually cooked a few meals there), which is rare for hotel-style places. What really sold me was the neighborhood vibe – Chełmska street is this quiet residential area where you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning and kids playing in the courtyards. It’s real Warsaw life, not the touristy bubble around the Old Town.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. You’re a quick tram ride to the center – the 4 and 15 lines run pretty frequently from nearby stops – but you can also walk to some great local spots that most tourists never discover. There’s this fantastic milk bar (Bar Mleczny Prasowy) about ten minutes away that serves proper Polish comfort food for basically nothing, and the whole Mokotów area has these tree-lined streets that are perfect for evening walks. I stayed there in late spring and the neighborhood was just coming alive with all the cafés putting tables outside. The only minor thing is that parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – it’s mostly street parking and the locals know all the good spots – but honestly, you don’t really need a car from this location anyway.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially compared to staying near the main tourist areas. You’ll hear the occasional tram in the distance, but it’s more of a gentle city hum than actual noise. The staff were pretty helpful too – not overly chatty, but they knew their stuff about getting around the city and were quick to sort out any issues. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The WiFi actually works (I was working remotely part of the time), the shower has decent pressure, and the beds are comfortable enough that I slept well every night. For a 3-star place, you’re getting solid value and a genuine taste of how locals live in this part of Warsaw. I’d definitely stay there again, especially if I was planning a longer visit where I wanted to settle in rather than just crash between sightseeing marathons.
