You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Warsaw over the years, and SuperApart Chełmska 9 really surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Mokotów – honestly, when I first walked up, I almost wondered if I had the right address because it feels so much more local than touristy. The building itself has that solid, understated Warsaw vibe (none of that flashy hotel lobby nonsense), and once you’re inside, you get why this place has such good ratings. The apartments – because that’s really what they are – actually feel like someone’s well-designed home rather than a sterile hotel room. I mean, there’s a proper kitchen where you can actually cook, not just one of those sad mini-fridges with a microwave on top. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, which honestly isn’t always a given even at four-star places.

What I really loved about the location is that you’re in this authentic Warsaw neighborhood where actual people live and work, but you’re still super close to everything you’d want to see. Łazienki Park is basically a fifteen-minute walk away – I discovered this completely by accident on my second morning when I decided to explore instead of heading straight to the city center. The metro connections are solid (Pole Mokotowskie station isn’t far), though I found myself walking more than I expected because the area is just pleasant to wander around. There are these little cafes and shops along the way that you’d never find in the guidebooks, and the whole vibe is way more relaxed than staying right in the Old Town where everything feels a bit… performed, you know?

The staff really knows their stuff too – when I mentioned I was looking for a good pierogi place that wasn’t a tourist trap, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the obvious spots but actually drew me a little map to this family-run place about ten minutes away that ended up being one of my best meals in the city. Check-in was smooth (I arrived kind of late on a Sunday and was worried about complications), and they’re pretty flexible about luggage storage if you need it. I will say the street can get a bit lively on weekend evenings – not rowdy exactly, but there’s definitely more foot traffic and conversation drifting up from the sidewalk. Didn’t bother me much since I’m not usually asleep by 9 PM anyway, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs just in case. The whole experience felt less like staying at a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment in a neighborhood they actually love living in – which, honestly, is exactly what I want when I’m traveling these days.

  This is a very cozy apartment. It has everything what you need ( kettle, washing machine , free WiFi etc. )

  The location. The courtyard felt safe, and the house was really quiet, neighbours were not heard at all.
  
  What could be improved: The bed was lousy: no bedding mattress and the strings could be felt through the sheets. So one of us had to sleep on the couch. We had to buy an undercover for the couch to make it sleepable. Also, there were no cleaning chemicals for washing the toilet seat nor rags to swipe the surfaces, not even a brush or sponge to do the dishes (we stayed five nights in the apartment). Also the selection of kitchen utensils was minimal, e.g. no cutting board for bread, vegetables or fruit.

  What could be improved: The apartment falsely claimed to have two separate bedrooms and a living room, which was the main reason we booked it. Upon arrival we realised that this was false and misleading information. There was only one separate bedroom and a living room with double bed and a sofa. This caused us unexpected commotion with our sleeping arrangements. We did not receive a discount or compensation for the false advertisement.

  What could be improved: No parking space which was my primary filter and after I paid for non refund the landlord rep informed me that apt has no parking spot. The apt is located in the crowded block of flats – no privacy and neighbors are complaining if you talk too loud.
