I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first booked SuperApart Lewartowskiego 10 – I mean, the name’s a mouthful and it’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Śródmieście that most tourists probably walk right past. But here’s the thing about Warsaw’s city center: sometimes the best spots are hiding in plain sight. This place sits right between the buzz of the main tourist areas and actual neighborhood life, which I actually loved. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Palace of Culture (yeah, that massive Stalin-era tower you can’t miss), but when you step outside, it feels like you’re staying where real Varsovians live. The building itself is one of those classic pre-war structures that somehow survived everything Warsaw’s been through – solid walls, high ceilings, the kind of place that makes you wonder about all the stories these rooms could tell.

The apartment I stayed in was honestly better than I expected for a 3-star spot. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything worked properly (which, let me tell you, isn’t always a given in some Warsaw accommodations I’ve tried). The kitchen was actually functional – like, you could genuinely cook a meal if you wanted to, not just heat up instant noodles. I particularly appreciated the washing machine because, well, I always pack light and do laundry on longer trips. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout, which matters when you’re trying to navigate a city or work remotely. One thing that struck me was how quiet it gets at night – Lewartowskiego isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you don’t get the constant tram rumble or late-night party crowds that can plague some central Warsaw locations. Though I’ll be honest, the building’s entrance is a bit underwhelming and the hallways have that slightly worn Eastern European apartment building vibe, but once you’re inside your unit, it’s quite comfortable.

What really sold me on this place was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re close enough to walk to Złote Tarasy shopping center when you need something specific, and the central train station is maybe ten minutes on foot – super handy for day trips to Krakow or airport connections. But here’s what the booking sites don’t tell you: there’s this fantastic little pierogi place just around the corner on Marszałkowska that locals actually eat at (not touristy at all), and you’re within easy walking distance of some of Warsaw’s better cafes in the Powiśle area. The trams are right there too, which honestly is how you want to get around Warsaw anyway. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and while I can imagine it might get a bit stuffy in summer without AC, the cross-ventilation worked fine for me. For the price point and that 8.5 rating, I get it – this isn’t luxury, but it’s genuine, comfortable, and puts you right in the heart of things without feeling like you’re camping out in a tourist bubble.

  It was very clean and in an excellent location. We were very happy to have a toaster! The grocery store was two minutes away. Also anyone from anywhere can travel free on public transport- just make sure you have your passport in case an inspector gets on.m

  What could be improved: – You cant really fall asleep well because the walls are thin and the neighbour upstairs is a SUPER loud woman, who will not shut up. Im usually not picky about that and can just use ear plugs but in this case I could hear her ever through them.

  – Bathroom lock was a little dodgy and sometimes hard to open.
  – There should be more toilet rolls so the guests dont have to buy more themselves.
  – Would be nice to have two set of keys for when people want to split into two groups.
