Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “SuperApart Stalowa 39,” I was expecting something pretty generic. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked away on Stalowa Street in Praga Północ, which honestly is one of Warsaw’s most interesting neighborhoods right now. You know what I mean? It’s got that perfect mix of authentic Polish character and just enough modern touches that you don’t feel like you’re roughing it. The apartment itself is genuinely modern – not that fake “modern” where they just painted everything white and called it a day. The kitchen actually has everything you need (I’m talking a proper coffee maker, decent knives, even a dishwasher), and the wifi is solid enough that I worked from there for three days without wanting to throw my laptop out the window.
What really sold me on this place was the location, though I know Praga Północ might sound intimidating if you don’t know Warsaw well. Here’s the thing – it’s across the Vistula from the Old Town, but that’s actually perfect because you get these incredible views of the city center without dealing with all the tourist chaos. There’s this little tram that runs right down Stalowa Street, and honestly, it’s kind of charming hearing it rumble by in the morning. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I love – you’ll find actual Poles going about their daily business, not just other travelers taking selfies. There’s a fantastic milk bar (bar mleczny) just two blocks down that serves pierogi that’ll ruin you for anywhere else, and the local Żabka is right around the corner for those late-night snack emergencies we all have.
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel – in a good way, I mean. The bed is actually comfortable (not always a given in Eastern Europe, let’s be real), and they’ve got blackout curtains that work, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with jet lag. My only real complaint is that the shower pressure could be better, but honestly, after walking around Warsaw all day, you’re just grateful to get clean. The building is pretty quiet too, which surprised me given that it’s right in the city. I stayed there during a weekend in October and barely heard any street noise, though I imagine summer might be different with all the windows open. Check-in was smooth – they actually met me at the apartment instead of making me trek to some random office across town, which I appreciated after a long flight. For the price point and that 8.4 rating, it really delivers on what it promises without any of the usual Eastern European accommodation surprises that can make or break a trip.

What could be improved: The safety of the neighbourhood leaves kuch to be desired. The bed was a bit too noisy, and the towels could have been cleaner. The rest was okVery Good – Anna from Poland – October 12, 2024 (8/10)

great apartment. the most comfortable one for a long stay, which I rented at the Booking. I regret that I did not take it off for a longer period.
everything was great, I really enjoyed my stay, the building is super nice and the location is perfect. – Yana from Ukraine – December 11, 2022 (10/10)
location, interior
What could be improved: wifi speed could be betterRather cheap stay in an apartment of corresponding quality – Eglė from Lithuania – August 13, 2024 (5/10)
What could be improved: The owners should have understood we are not Polish but all the messages and answers to our questions in English we received were in Polish. The apartment was not very clean, most furniture and doors of the shower cabin were worn or broken. Sofa beds were hardly suitable for two people to sleep. It looks like people used to smoke in the apartment because the cigarette tobacco smell was permeating.
