The lobby has this lived-in comfort that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s apartment than some sterile hotel chain.

They’re not reading from some script – when I asked about getting around the area, the front desk guy actually drew me a little map showing which streets to avoid during rush hour and where to find the best coffee that isn’t touristy nonsense. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I loved that they didn’t go overboard with trying to be fancy. The kitchen actually has everything you need (including a decent coffee maker, thank god), and the beds are firm without being like sleeping on concrete. One thing though – if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. It’s not loud, but you can hear some street sounds in the early morning, which honestly didn’t bother me but might bug some people.

The whole “Blue City” thing in the name makes sense once you’re there – there are these gorgeous blue accents throughout the building that somehow don’t feel cheesy or overdone. And here’s the thing that really sealed it for me: they have this small rooftop area that’s not advertised anywhere, but if you ask, they’ll tell you about it. Perfect spot for evening drinks or just decompressing after a long day of sightseeing. The neighborhood itself has that authentic local vibe – you’ll find family-run shops within walking distance and actual residents going about their daily lives, not just clusters of tourists. I stayed there during what I later found out was peak season, but it never felt overcrowded or rushed. Check-in was smooth (they actually had my room ready early), and parking… well, there’s street parking that’s free after 6 PM if you don’t mind walking a block or two. That 9.2 rating isn’t just inflated happy reviews – this place genuinely delivers on making you feel comfortable without trying too hard to impress you. It’s the kind of spot where you’d actually want to stay again, not just because it’s decent, but because it feels real.
