You know what caught me off guard about this place? Walking up to Urban Chic on Sienna Street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the name – sounds a bit try-hard, right? But stepping inside completely changed my tune. This two-bedroom setup actually lives up to the “chic” part, and I say that as someone who’s stayed in way too many disappointing city center apartments that promise the world and deliver ikea furniture and bad lighting.

The location is what really makes this work, though. Sienna Street puts you right in the thick of things without the constant honking and drunk tourists stumbling around at 3am that you get on the main drags. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to pretty much anywhere you’d want to go – I was hitting cafes and shops within a few minutes – but there’s this nice residential feel once you’re actually inside. The bedrooms are genuinely spacious, not those cramped afterthoughts you usually get in city center places where they’ve clearly carved up some old building into as many units as humanly possible. Both rooms have proper windows that actually open (thank god), and the morning light is honestly pretty lovely if you’re an early riser like me.

What I really appreciated were the little details that show someone actually thought about how people live, not just how a place photographs. The kitchen has counter space where you can actually prep food, decent knives that aren’t dull as butter, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the shower pressure is fantastic. After walking around the city all day, that matters more than you’d think. The whole place has this comfortable, lived-in vibe without feeling worn down, if that makes sense. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period and never felt crowded or rushed, which tells me they’re not just cramming people in and hoping for the best. Honestly, it felt more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place than a typical rental, and in a city center location, that’s pretty rare to find.
