Żoliborz has this quiet, residential vibe that feels like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it – you’ll hear birds in the morning instead of constant traffic, which is rare for Warsaw. It’s about a 15-minute tram ride to the Old Town, and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually go to (not one of those tourist traps). The building itself is one of those pre-war structures that somehow survived everything Warsaw went through, so it’s got character without being falling apart. I mean, the WiFi actually works well, which isn’t always a given in older buildings, and the Netflix setup was already logged in – small thing, but it saved me the hassle of figuring out Polish TV channels after a long day of sightseeing.

The terrace is where this place really shines, especially if you’re there during spring or summer. If you’re the type who wants to experience Warsaw like you actually live there for a few days, rather than being stuck in some generic hotel near the tourist areas, this spot works really well.

  It's a nice apartment, perfect for a family with a young child. The outside playground is a bonus. The apartment is not in the city centre, but there are bus stops just outside the building and tram stations 10 minutes away. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet. There are three or four shops within a 10-minute walk.
