So I stayed at these Vintage Apartments in Praga Północ last spring, and honestly? It’s one of those places that grows on you. The building on Stalowa street has this old Warsaw character that you just can’t fake – I mean, you can hear the trams rumbling by in the morning, but it’s not annoying, more like the city gently waking you up. The apartments themselves are pretty spacious for Warsaw standards, and whoever decorated them actually put some thought into it. None of that sterile hotel chain nonsense – there are vintage touches that feel authentic, not like someone just raided a flea market and called it “retro.” The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped too, which saved me a fortune since eating out in Warsaw every night can add up fast.

What I really appreciated was the location – Praga Północ is having this amazing moment right now, and you’re right in the thick of it. You’ve got the Soho Factory literally around the corner (great for evening drinks, by the way), and the whole Ząbkowska street scene is maybe a ten-minute walk. I spent way too much time at the local milk bars and those tiny galleries that seem to pop up in old courtyards. The area feels lived-in, you know? Like actual Varsovians hang out here, not just tourists doing the Old Town circuit. Getting to the center is dead easy too – the tram stop is right there, and you’ll be at the Palace of Culture in maybe fifteen minutes.

The building itself is one of those pre-war gems that survived everything Warsaw’s been through, so expect some quirks. My shower had decent pressure (always a gamble in older buildings), but the walls are thin enough that you’ll hear your neighbors if they’re having a loud phone conversation. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing if you’re a light sleeper. Check-in was smooth – they actually met me at the apartment instead of making me hunt down some random office, which was clutch since I arrived pretty late. The whole operation feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which is either perfect or totally wrong depending on what you’re after. For the price point and that 7.4 rating, I’d say it’s spot-on for travelers who want to experience Warsaw like a local rather than being stuck in some generic hotel bubble near the tourist stuff.

  What could be improved: the code for the main door wasn’t provided in the message and the description of the building was different, the door is not blue. No wifi in the kitchen but it’s meant to have people sleeping on the kitchen.

  Spacious clean apartment with high ceilings and original interior design with vintage furniture.
  The apartment is warm, with central heating.
  Fairly good location of the apartment. Nearby there is a park and large shops.
  
  What could be improved: Soundproofing needs to be improved. Through the windows of the facade you can hear the noise of the tram, and through the windows from the courtyard you can hear music and the cries of youth from the cafe. Also, through the unfinished door between the apartments, you can hear all the conversations of the neighbors.
  In the bathroom, you need to add shelves and some hooks for clothes and towels.
  Not enough crockery and kitchen utensils. Nekt no kitchen towel or napkin for wiping hands and countertops.
