Hotel Description

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Warsaw Concierge Square Grzybowski when I first booked it – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, right? But this little apartment hotel on Bagno Street turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the guidebooks missed. It’s tucked right in the heart of Śródmieście, which means you’re basically in the thick of everything without the tourist trap prices. The building itself has that classic Warsaw character – you know, the kind that survived way more history than it should have – and apartment 26 sits perfectly positioned where you can actually walk to the Old Town in about fifteen minutes, but you’re also close enough to the modern business district that you don’t feel cut off from real city life.

What I really appreciated was how the place strikes this balance between being properly local and still comfortable for travelers who aren’t used to Warsaw’s quirks. The apartment setup means you get actual space to spread out (something you definitely don’t take for granted after staying in those shoebox hotel rooms), and there’s a kitchenette that’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Żabka down the street or hit up the weekend market near Plac Grzybowski – which, by the way, is where the hotel gets its name and it’s absolutely worth checking out on Saturday mornings. The neighborhood has this great mix of young Poles grabbing coffee and older residents who’ve been here forever, so you get authentic Warsaw without feeling like you’re intruding. I mean, sure, it’s only a 3-star place so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but the 8.2 rating makes total sense when you consider what you’re actually getting for the price.

The area around Bagno Street is honestly one of those parts of Warsaw that feels lived-in rather than polished for tourists – there’s a synagogue nearby that speaks to the neighborhood’s Jewish heritage, some really solid pierogi spots that locals actually frequent, and you’re close enough to the Vistula that evening walks become a thing you just naturally start doing. Traffic noise isn’t too bad since you’re on a smaller street, though you’ll definitely hear the city waking up in the mornings. Check-in was straightforward enough, though like a lot of apartment-style places in Warsaw, it’s not a traditional hotel lobby situation – more like meeting someone who hands you keys and shows you around for ten minutes. The building entrance can be a bit tricky to spot at first (look for the number 7, not the hotel name), but once you’re settled, you’ll find yourself in walking distance of everything from the Palace of Culture to those little basement bars in the Jewish quarter that don’t even have proper signs outside.

To book a hotel in Warsaw during major European summits, travelers need early planning as this political capital draws visitors eager to experience its reconstructed old town and modern business districts.

Great location, good size for a group of friends.

What could be improved: The building is old and a bit scary at night. Pictures of the building and hallway should be part of the description. The apartment was renovated, but it was very poor quality materials and work done. A bit dirty (for example sticky shot glasses) and we've had a visit from a small cockroach..
