Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about Warsaw Modern Stay on Kasprzaka – it’s one of those places that doesn’t wow you at first glance, but honestly grows on you pretty quickly. The building itself is, well, modern in that very Polish way where everything’s clean and functional without being particularly charming. But here’s the thing – the location is actually pretty smart if you know Warsaw at all. You’re right in Wola, which I mean, isn’t the postcard-pretty Old Town everyone talks about, but it’s where real Warsaw happens. There’s this great little pierogi place just two blocks down that I stumbled onto my second night (the kind where the babcia behind the counter doesn’t speak English but somehow you end up with exactly what you wanted), and you’re genuinely close to the business district if that matters to you. The apartments themselves are… look, they’re 3-star for a reason, but they’re clean and the kitchenettes actually work properly – I made coffee every morning and cooked a simple dinner twice without any drama.
What surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re on a fairly busy street. The windows are decent quality, and honestly, after walking around Warsaw all day, you’ll sleep fine. The WiFi is solid – I worked from the little desk area for a few hours without wanting to throw my laptop out the window, which is more than I can say for some places. Check-in was straightforward, though the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, so don’t roll up at 2 AM expecting someone to hand you keys. Parking is… well, it’s Warsaw, so it’s a bit of a puzzle, but there are spots on the street if you’re patient, and they can point you toward a garage that’s not too expensive. The elevator is one of those tiny European ones that makes you question whether you really need that second suitcase, but it works.
You know what I appreciated most? The neighborhood actually has character once you start exploring. There’s a decent grocery store within walking distance (Żabka, obviously, but also a proper Carrefour), and you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble eating overpriced schnitzel every night. The tram connections are solid – you can get to the center in about 15 minutes, maybe 20 if you’re unlucky with timing. Is it the fanciest place you’ll ever stay? Definitely not. The decor is sort of aggressively beige, and the bathroom is small enough that you’ll become very familiar with every corner. But for the price point and the fact that you get actual space to spread out (not just a hotel room where your suitcase becomes furniture), it works. I’d probably stay here again, especially if I was in Warsaw for more than just a quick tourist trip – it feels more like temporarily living somewhere than just passing through, if that makes sense.

What could be improved: They say there is free parking available but they ask for 200 ZT for the key There is no parking space in the area, so they did not clarify this matter. They say tell building security to open the parking lot for you without the key, but building security does not open the parking lot.

What could be improved: A bit cold from the balconyGood for one night stay – Pavlo from Poland – October 21, 2024 (7/10)
Modern building, nice view, good location, easy access/check-in and checkout.
What could be improved: Smell from the kitchen sink, balcony barrier was covered with some slime or paint. Lack of kitchen supplies, like sponge to wash dishes or washcloths. No lamp/light above the bed in sleeping area. We asked if 2 separate sleeping places would be prepared in advance. No clear response on that request provided. Luckily we've found a second set of bed sheets in the wardrobe.Nice hotel, but I wish it was better. – Anna from Finland – September 18, 2024 (8/10)
The view from the balcony over the city was gorgeous, comfortable bed and very soft pillows
What could be improved: When I took the extra blanket out of the closet it was very dirty, so from the minuses on the bed there was someone's black hair, in the bathroom there was no shower gel disposable and shampoo was only hand soap and then a little.Very Good – Patrik from Slovakia – July 28, 2024 (8/10)
