Which would be a shame though, because Warsaw’s food scene is absolutely incredible right now.

The staff here gets it – they’re helpful without being hovering, if that makes sense. During check-in, the front desk person gave me these insider tips about which trams to take and mentioned this little milk bar that’s apparently been running since the 1960s (definitely worth the detour). You can tell they actually live in the city and aren’t just reciting from some corporate script. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s one of those places that delivers on what it promises without any nasty surprises. Sure, you might hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper – it’s Warsaw, not a countryside retreat – but the windows are solid enough that it never bothered me. Actually, I sort of liked hearing the city humming below; it reminded me I was right in the middle of everything. The whole experience feels thoughtfully curated rather than cookie-cutter, and in a city where you’ve got everything from Soviet-era concrete blocks to glass towers going up everywhere, that attention to character really stands out. If you’re the type who appreciates good design but doesn’t want to sacrifice comfort for style, this place hits the mark.
