You know what struck me first about WARSZAWSKI SEN? The name literally means “Warsaw Dream” in Polish, and honestly, it’s not overselling itself. This apartment sits on the 5th floor – hence the cheeky “na 5” in the name – and while I can’t pin down the exact street for you (the listing was a bit vague on that front), what I can tell you is that this place punches way above its 3-star rating.

I mean, a 9.3 rating doesn’t just happen by accident. The moment you step inside, you get why people are raving about it. It’s got that perfect Warsaw apartment vibe – high ceilings that make you feel like you’re living in one of those beautiful pre-war buildings, but with all the modern touches that actually matter. The floors have this gorgeous hardwood that creaks just enough to feel authentic without being annoying, and the windows – oh man, the windows are huge. You’ll probably find yourself just standing there with your morning coffee, watching the city wake up below.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels lived-in rather than hotel-sterile. There are actual books on the shelves (some in Polish, some in English), the kitchen has proper pots and pans instead of those flimsy hotel things, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that makes you want to stay in there forever. The bed situation is solid too – none of that rock-hard European mattress nonsense you sometimes get. I actually slept better here than I do at home, which is saying something.

Now, being on the 5th floor means you’re getting your cardio in if there’s no elevator, but it also means you’re above most of the street noise. Warsaw can get pretty lively, especially on weekends, so that extra height is actually a blessing. The neighborhood itself has that authentic Warsaw energy – you’re not stuck in some touristy bubble, but you’re also not so far out that getting to the main sights becomes a production. There’s a great little bakery nearby (the locals queue up there every morning around 7 AM, which tells you everything you need to know), and you’ll find plenty of those brilliant Polish milk bars within walking distance if you want to eat like the locals do.

The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that hotel lobby waiting around. The host actually knows the area and gave me some solid recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. They mentioned this jazz club that I never would have found otherwise, tucked away in a basement about ten minutes walk from the apartment.

Look, if you’re the type who needs a concierge and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your scene. But if you want to actually live in Warsaw for a few days rather than just visit it – if you want to grocery shop at the local market and cook dinner while planning tomorrow’s adventures – then WARSZAWSKI SEN gets it right. It’s Warsaw as it actually is, not Warsaw as a postcard.

  Naprawdę świetnie wyposażona kuchnia, umożliwiająca przygotowanie posiłków. Generalnie wygodny salon, w którym można wypocząć, wygodne łóżko w sypialni. W mieszkaniu naprawdę duży porządek. Atutem był także dostęp do miejsca parkingowego. Instrukcja przesłana przez gospodarza była bardzo dokładna, czytelna i wyczerpująca.
