This little 3-star spot sits right in the heart of the old town, and while it might not have all the bells and whistles of those massive chain hotels, it’s got something way better – actual character.

The moment you step inside, you can tell someone put real thought into this place. It’s a studio setup, so don’t expect sprawling suites, but the space is used incredibly well. The owners (and I’m pretty sure they’re hands-on owners, not some corporate management company) have this knack for making a compact space feel cozy rather than cramped. There’s this warm lighting that makes everything feel intimate, and honestly, after spending days wandering around the old town’s cobblestone streets, coming back here feels like retreating to a friend’s well-designed apartment. The 9.3 rating isn’t just some fluke either – you can see it in the little details. Fresh towels that actually smell clean, not like industrial detergent. Windows that open properly so you can hear the street life below without feeling like you’re sleeping in a fishbowl. And the bed – well, let’s just say I’ve paid twice as much for places where I couldn’t get comfortable.

What really won me over was the location. You’re actually in the old town, not on some side street pretending to be close to it. I mean, you step outside and you’re immediately part of that whole historic atmosphere, but you’re also close enough to duck back inside when your feet start protesting all the walking. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings – nothing crazy, just that pleasant hum of people enjoying themselves – but the studio’s positioned well enough that you won’t be kept up all night. Parking can be a bit of an adventure (welcome to old town life), but there are options within walking distance if you know where to look. Honestly, I ended up walking most places anyway because everything’s so accessible from here. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use, just genuine recommendations about where to grab coffee in the morning and which streets are worth exploring at sunset. For a 3-star place, Wawahome delivers way above its weight class.

  The apartment is very close to the old town. City parking available at the street. Cute, little apartment for short stay. We were 3 people and it was very tight.
