Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first heard “WLR Apartments” I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds pretty corporate, right? But honestly, this place on Świętokrzyska totally surprised me. I mean, we’re talking about one of Warsaw’s main streets here, which usually means tourist traps and overpriced everything, but these apartments are actually the real deal.

The location is what really gets me – you’re literally in the heart of everything without the crazy hotel prices. Świętokrzyska runs right through the city center, so you can walk to the Old Town in like fifteen minutes (I timed it), and there’s this amazing milk bar called Bar Mleczny Familijny just around the corner where locals actually eat. You know what I love? At night, you can hear the trams rumbling by, but it’s not that jarring city noise – more like a gentle reminder that you’re in a real, living city. The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room. The kitchenettes are small but functional (I made coffee every morning and even managed a decent pasta dinner), and honestly, after a day of walking around Warsaw’s cobblestones, having your own space to decompress is priceless.

What really impressed me was how the building manages to feel both modern and authentically Warsaw at the same time. The entrance is clean and secure – you get proper key cards, not those flimsy things that stop working if you look at them wrong – but you can still see hints of the city’s character in the architecture. I stayed during shoulder season in October, and while the tourist spots were still busy during the day, evenings in this neighborhood felt genuinely local. There’s a small grocery store practically next door (super handy when you realize you forgot toothpaste), and the metro station is close enough that getting to Chopin Airport was surprisingly stress-free. Look, I’m not saying it’s luxury – the shower pressure could be better, and my apartment faced an inner courtyard that was a bit dim during the day – but for a 3-star place, the attention to detail really shows. Clean linens, decent Wi-Fi that actually works for video calls, and they even left some local coffee in the kitchen. The 9.6 rating makes total sense when you consider you’re getting apartment-style independence right in the center of Warsaw without paying Old Town prices. If you’re the type who likes exploring neighborhoods instead of just hitting the major sights, this place gives you the perfect base to experience Warsaw like you actually live there.

  This apartment was just amazing. It has an incredible panoramic view and is very bright and spacious. The owners of the apartment were very nice, polite and helpful. The location is ideal, you can easily reach the station, the stadium or the city center on foot. I sincerely recommend it. 🩷

  The apartment is great and the city view is just exceptional! The host was super friendly and did everything to make my stay comfortable. I loved the location, which is in the downtown, a few steps away from the Palace of Culture and Science. The apartment itself had everything for a good stay: equipped kitchenette, comfortable bed, etc. In overall, this was a great place.
