Look, I’ll be straight with you about Wolska Residence Apartments – it’s one of those places that grows on you once you figure out what you’re getting into. The building sits right on Wolska street (hence the name, obviously), and honestly, when I first pulled up I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s in Wola, which used to be pretty industrial but has been cleaning up nicely over the past few years. You’re actually in a really solid spot here – close enough to the center that you can hop on the metro at Rondo Daszyńskiego in about ten minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside.

The apartments themselves are… well, they’re apartments, not hotel rooms, which is either exactly what you want or completely wrong depending on your travel style. I mean, you get a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and a sad coffee maker), decent-sized rooms, and – this is huge in Warsaw – your own parking spot. Trust me on this one, trying to park anywhere near the city center will make you question your life choices. The furnishing is pretty standard European apartment fare, nothing fancy but everything works. The Wi-Fi is solid, which matters if you’re working remotely, and the heating actually keeps up with Warsaw winters (learned that one the hard way at other places). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Wolska can be busy during the day with all the buses and trams, but once evening hits, it settles down nicely.

Here’s the thing though – don’t expect hotel-style service because that’s not what this is. Check-in was smooth enough, but you’re pretty much on your own after that, which is fine if you like your independence. The area has grown on me over multiple stays; there’s a decent Żabka right around the corner for late-night snacks, and if you walk about five minutes toward the river, you’ll hit some surprisingly good local spots that haven’t been discovered by the guidebooks yet. The tram connections are actually fantastic – you can get to Old Town in maybe 20 minutes, and Złote Tarasy shopping center is a straight shot down Towarowa street. I’ve stayed here during both summer and winter, and honestly, the neighborhood feels completely different depending on the season. Summer brings out more families and the little parks nearby actually look pretty green, while winter… well, it’s Warsaw in winter, so everything looks a bit gray, but the apartment stays warm and that’s what counts. For the price point and the fact that you get actual space to spread out (plus that parking situation sorted), it’s become my go-to when I need to be in Warsaw for more than just a quick weekend trip.

  What could be improved: When I lifted the blanket, there was hair, it's not very nice. For three people, only 2 shampoos and 2 small shower gels, and one small soap, two rolls of toilet paper for 7 nights – it's very little. There are also two dispensers in the bathroom, and there was nothing in them. Towels could have been changed for 7 nights. On the last night, 18.04, the fire alarm went off at around 22:00, we gathered and went downstairs and waited for everything to be resolved, but neither the firefighters nor the hotel staff showed up. And at that time, the internet disappeared and never appeared.

  Upon arrival at the apartment it looked like a big nice room, it was spacious, it has a French window (not a balcony) into the inner block.
  Big plus I must to give about parking in the underground garage and check in online. When you had questions about accommodation, you wrote them a message, to which someone answered quite quickly.
  There are public transport stops nearby and nice parks.
  
  What could be improved: We booked appartmen with a double bed, but there were two beds ushed together. There was no dish sope in the kitchen and it was poorly equipped kitchen.
  At the nigth, when it was quiet, you could hear the ventilator ( it was un-functioning ventilation control) and it was quiet noisy, it could not be turned off.
  I made reservation for two people, but in the appartmen there was only one chair.
  It charged me about 10 euros more than the written price (the hotel claims that it was the exchange rate, but it has never happened to me that I was charged so much more from some other accommodation).
