Hotel Description

You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first saw the name “Woronicza Superb Place To Live” – it sounds like someone ran it through Google Translate, right? But after spending a few nights there, I actually get what they’re going for. This place really does feel more like you’re crashing at a friend’s well-appointed apartment than staying in a typical hotel. It’s tucked away on Woronicza street in Mokotów, which – if you don’t know Warsaw well – is basically where locals actually live and work, not the touristy Old Town everyone talks about. The building itself is modern without being flashy, and honestly, walking up to it, you might wonder if you’re in the right place because it blends in so naturally with the residential neighborhood.

The rooms are what really sold me though. I mean, they’ve got this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – the kind of place where you can actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re messing up a museum display. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either; I picked up some pierogi from the little shop around the corner (there’s always a little shop around the corner in Mokotów) and actually cooked them up one evening. The beds are properly comfortable – none of that rock-hard European hotel bed nonsense – and the bathrooms have decent water pressure, which honestly matters more than people admit. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to the action that getting to the city center is no big deal (the metro’s walkable, or there are trams that locals actually use), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM.

Here’s the thing about staying in Mokotów – you end up experiencing Warsaw the way people who live here do. There’s a Żabka convenience store practically next door for late-night snack runs, and you’ll find yourself walking past the same dog walkers and joggers every morning like you’re part of the neighborhood routine. The staff at the hotel gets this too; they’re not overly formal or trying to upsell you on city tours, they just treat you like a normal person who needs a place to stay. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy speeches about amenities or breakfast times, just “here’s your key, WiFi password is on the desk, let us know if you need anything.” I did notice the elevator’s a bit slow, but that’s pretty standard for newer buildings in this part of the city. The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me because this isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in Warsaw – it’s just really good at being exactly what it is.

    evreting was very good

  • Very Good – Oleh from Poland – July 19, 2024 (8/10)

Fine place to stay(with some problems). Good places for sleep. Great bath with all facilities (fan, shampoo, towels etc.). TV,balcony, kitchen – fine

What could be improved: I didn't like the check-in instructions. I had to call the person several times to explain how to enter the parking lot. also, very stupidly, it was indicated which door code was intended for which (there were 3 codes in total). I also didn’t like that when the reception guard came out, we wanted to go in (since the door could not be opened) and he slammed it in front of us and told us to figure out how to enter it ourselves. Well, one of the inconveniences is a chandelier hanging near the table against which people over 6 feet hit their heads

  • Beware of this scam and dirty apartment; you may be falsely accused of things you didn't do. – Yauheni from Czech Republic – November 20, 2023 (1/10)

The location is fine, but don't expect you can walk somewhere far from the apartment. No metro at walking distance, only a taxi.

What could be improved: Getting to the apartment involves a very strange path. You have to enter one building, then another, and input codes everywhere, which never work on the first try. So, expect an unnecessary quest upon arrival. The apartment appeared to have been hastily cleaned not long before our arrival. The mop was left on the balcony, there were large dust clumps in the ventilation, and dust in the kitchen. The beds had no bedspreads and the sheets were very wrinkled, as if someone had just gotten up and left. My family arrived quite late, and the first thing I did was pull out the sofa bed for my daughter. When I did, I noticed stains – not surprising, given my first impression of the apartment. After checking out, the owner contacted me and accused me of causing the stains. She also tried to accuse us of stealing parts of a coffee pot, which we never used. I don’t understand how this apartment and its service could have such a high rating, but I would definitely not recommend visiting this place.

  • Very mean owner – Mobi – July 15, 2023 (1/10)

    Nothing

    What could be improved: Everything
