Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked this place on Ząbkowska – I mean, Praga Północ isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, you know? But that’s actually what makes this apartment so brilliant. You’re staying in the real Warsaw here, not some sanitized hotel district. The building itself is classic pre-war architecture (you’ll notice those gorgeous high ceilings the moment you walk in), and while the entrance might look a bit weathered from the street, don’t let that fool you – the apartment inside is absolutely lovely. The two bedrooms are genuinely spacious, not those cramped European “double rooms” you sometimes get stuck with, and there’s this wonderful natural light that pours through the windows all morning. I spent way too much time just sitting at the kitchen table with coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up below.

What really sold me on this place was the location – and I’m not talking about being “conveniently located” or whatever. You’re literally a five-minute walk to the Vistula riverbank, where locals go jogging and walking their dogs, especially beautiful in the early evening when the light hits the water just right. The trendy part of Praga is happening all around you too – there’s this fantastic pierogi place called Krowarzywa just down the street (get the spinach ones, trust me), and you’re close enough to walk to the Soho Factory complex when you want that hipster coffee and vintage shopping experience. Getting into the city center is actually easier than I expected – the tram stop is right there, and it’s maybe fifteen minutes to the Old Town. Pro tip though: if you’re coming back late at night, just grab an Uber. The trams run less frequently after 10 PM, and honestly, it’s worth the few extra złoty.

The apartment itself feels like staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile rental. There’s a proper washing machine (which saved my life during a week-long stay), the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook – I made breakfast most mornings because there’s a Żabka convenience store literally next door, plus a proper grocery store about two blocks away. The Wi-Fi is solid, the heating works well (important in Warsaw winters, believe me), and the shower has actual water pressure. Small thing, but you’ll appreciate it. The only minor downside is that Ząbkowska can get a bit lively on weekend nights – it’s becoming quite the nightlife street – but honestly, the windows are good quality and I’m a pretty sound sleeper anyway. Plus, there’s something kind of exciting about falling asleep to the distant hum of a neighborhood that’s really coming alive. The whole rating of 9.6 makes total sense to me – this place just works, and you’ll leave feeling like you actually experienced Warsaw rather than just visiting it.

  Apartament w dobrej lokalizacji, blisko stacji metra. Czysty, odnowiony, plus za 2 toalety. Widać, że obiekt działa od niedawna bo jeszcze słabo wyposażony. Duży plus za możliwość wcześniejszego zameldowania. Mały minus za brak rolet w oknach. Generalnie byliśmy zadowoleni i zdecydowanie polecamy.
