Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Castle Inn on Świętojańska Street, you immediately get why this place has such a stellar reputation. I mean, the name isn’t just for show — there’s something genuinely regal about the building’s facade that fits perfectly with Warsaw‘s Old Town atmosphere. This four-star property sits right in Śródmieście, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot to explore the city from. The historic architecture surrounding the hotel creates an authentic Polish experience that transports guests back in time.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally in the heart of everything, but it doesn’t feel touristy or overwhelming. The Royal Castle is practically next door, and you can walk to the Market Square in about three minutes. What really struck me though is how quiet it stays at night, despite being so central. Couples especially seem to get this (they’ve rated the location 9.9, which honestly makes perfect sense when you experience it yourself). You know what’s great? You can grab morning coffee and pastries from local cafés without dealing with crowds of tour groups. The cobblestone streets and medieval charm make every short walk feel like a journey through Polish history.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this perfect balance — comfortable without being flashy, with enough space to actually unpack and settle in. The windows face the historic street, so you get these lovely views of old Warsaw architecture. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that actually has counter space for your stuff. It’s not trying to be ultra-modern, but everything works exactly as it should. The traditional Polish design elements blend seamlessly with contemporary comfort features.
Morning Routine
The continental breakfast setup is pretty solid — nothing fancy, but they’ve got quality basics covered. Fresh bread, local cheeses, decent coffee, and usually some seasonal fruit. I actually preferred eating early and then wandering the Old Town before it gets busy. The breakfast area has this cozy feel, and the staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you’re set for the day. Pro tip: ask them about their favorite local spots — they know the neighborhood better than most guidebooks. Traditional Polish breakfast items are often available, giving guests an authentic taste of local cuisine.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Castle Inn isn’t going to wow you with elaborate amenities or over-the-top service, but that’s sort of the point. It’s a place that understands what travelers actually need — a great location, comfortable accommodations, and staff who know their city. The 8.4 rating reflects exactly what you get: solid, reliable hospitality in one of Warsaw’s most desirable neighborhoods. When you’re spending your days exploring castles, museums, and historic streets, you want a place that feels like a genuine home base rather than just another hotel room. That’s exactly what this place delivers, creating memorable experiences that guests treasure long after their visit ends.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Warsaw through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s rich history and modern development.

Guest Reviews
Fantastic location, great hotel, very friendly staff-can't wait to return
Location was fantastic- and the views from the room were superb. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The place had real character and charm.
Lots of great restaurants very close including an exceptional one, Polka, right next door.
What could be improved: Shower was poor, low pressure, breakfast was average- there are much better options in the proliferation of restaurants and cafes within a five minute stroll.
Good location and nice staff
Location
What could be improved: Few electric outlets and a concert just outside the window

What could be improved: Small room but that is probably normal giving the location
Relaxing in the Old Town
Perfect location within the Old Town. Very quiet and comfortable room with welcoming staff. A quirky room that made it stand out from the boring chain hotels where everything looks identical. An interesting communal room that had a historical.

Charming, quiet, great location.
High ceilings, thick walls and a quiet room made it a very comfortable stay. The location is fantastic, right in the old town and walking distance of Centrum. You are even 5 minutes walk away from a bus to the airport. Staff are charming and helpful.
All good except the church bells.
Everything!
What could be improved: The church bells next door were VERY noisy. They ring every 15 minutes and my first night I did not sleep all night.
Next to the castle
Location in the heart of Warsow! Good breakfast
What could be improved: No lift
