Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked into the InterContinental Warsaw, I wasn’t expecting to be that impressed – I mean, it’s a business hotel in the financial district, right? But there’s something about this place that just gets it right. The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me,” and the staff actually remembers your name after day two, which is rarer than you’d think at these big chain properties.
What really won me over was how they’ve managed to feel both international and distinctly Polish at the same time. You’ll notice it in small details – the way they’ve incorporated subtle nods to Warsaw’s history in the art, or how the restaurant serves pierogi that’s actually worth ordering (not just tourist bait). The rooms are spacious by European standards, and I love that they’ve got those floor-to-ceiling windows that make you feel connected to the city. Speaking of which, if you can swing an upper floor room facing west, do it – the sunset views over the city are pretty spectacular, especially in summer when the light hangs around until almost 9 PM.
The location is what locals would call “convenient without being touristy.” You’re close enough to walk to the Old Town when the weather’s decent (about 15 minutes through some actually interesting neighborhoods), but you’re also right where Warsaw’s business energy is humming. There’s something energizing about being in the thick of modern Warsaw – you get a sense of how dynamic this city really is. The hotel’s restaurant scene is solid too; I’ve seen plenty of locals meeting there for business dinners, which is always a good sign. And you know what? The breakfast spread actually includes some regional specialties alongside the international stuff, so you’re not stuck with the same generic continental setup you’d find anywhere else. One small thing – if you’re driving, the parking situation is straightforward but not cheap, so factor that in. The whole experience just feels… effortless, I guess? Like they’ve figured out how to deliver that five-star service without making you feel like you’re in some stuffy, overly formal bubble.
The concierge service in Warsaw can arrange exclusive historical tours, secure concert tickets, and organize visits to nearby Chopin sites and Mazovian countryside.

It was lovely but quite expensive. However, everything was aspiring to be perfect, and it was. So luxury comes with price.
