Look, I’ll be straight with you about the New Varsovia Comfort 1305 – this place is honestly a bit of a mystery wrapped in disappointment. When I first walked into the lobby, I thought maybe I’d gotten the address wrong or something, because for a supposedly 4-star place, it felt more like someone had tried really hard to make a 2-star hotel look fancy but ran out of budget halfway through.

The thing is, you can tell they had good intentions. The rooms are actually decent-sized, and there’s this weird charm to the whole setup – sort of like staying at your slightly eccentric aunt’s house if she had delusions of grandeur about interior decorating. I mean, the furniture looks like it came from three different decades, but honestly? Sometimes that works in a quirky way. What doesn’t work is the plumbing situation (and trust me, you’ll figure that out pretty quickly), and the Wi-Fi seems to think it’s still 2005. The air conditioning makes this rattling sound that’ll either lull you to sleep or drive you completely insane – there’s really no middle ground there.

Here’s what really gets me though – the staff tries, they really do, but it feels like they’re working with their hands tied behind their backs. Check-in took forever because their system kept crashing, and when I asked about restaurant recommendations, the front desk person looked at me like I’d asked them to solve calculus. The breakfast situation is… well, let’s just say you’re better off finding a local café. Actually, you know what? That might be the hotel’s secret strength – it forces you to get out and explore the neighborhood instead of hiding in your room. The area itself isn’t terrible, though I wouldn’t call it the most exciting part of town either. You’ll hear some street noise, especially on weekend nights, but nothing that decent earplugs can’t handle. Parking was surprisingly easy, which honestly shocked me given how cramped everything else felt. The elevators are slow as molasses, but hey, think of it as forced cardio if you decide to take the stairs.

Would I stay here again? Probably not, if I’m being completely honest. Would I tell you to absolutely avoid it? Well, that depends on what you’re looking for and what you’re paying. If you’re the type of traveler who just needs a clean bed and a place to crash between adventures, and if the price is right, you could do worse. Just manage your expectations, pack some patience, and maybe bring your own coffee.

  Kaptam egy címet, de a megérkezéskor tapasztaltam, hogy több ilyen cím van. Több lépcsőház volt. Nem találtuk meg a szállást. Másfél óra volt amíg bejutottunk: A szoba számozás nem volt egyértelmű. Több lépcsőház volt, nem találtuk meg, melyik az igazi. Amikor megtaláltuk, a leírás szerint beállhattunk a garázsba a kulccsal…… Nagyon örültünk, ám újabb csalódás ért. A garázsba beálltunk, de nem tudtunk bejutni a lépcsőházba, mert nem kaptuk meg a kódot. Nem adták meg. Hiába hívtuk a segítség gombot, nem tudtunk bejutni . Beszorultunk. Kértünk segítséget a szállásadótól, nem kaptuk meg. Kijutottunk a garászból, de másik lépcsőházba keveredtünk. Újra próbáltuk. Egy és fél óra volt, amíg eljutottunk a szobáig.
