You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Novel NeW when I first walked up to it on Jaworzyńska – I mean, it’s tucked into this pretty residential stretch of Śródmieście that honestly feels more like where locals actually live than where tourists usually end up. But that turned out to be exactly what made it special. The building itself has this understated modern vibe that doesn’t try too hard, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people move through a space. The lobby’s got these warm wood accents and soft lighting that makes you want to linger with a coffee, which is good because check-in here is refreshingly unhurried – the staff actually seems to enjoy chatting about the neighborhood rather than just handing you a key card and pointing toward the elevators.

The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully compact” – not huge, but everything’s exactly where it should be. I stayed on the third floor and honestly, the soundproofing impressed me because Jaworzyńska can get a bit lively in the evenings with people heading to and from the bars closer to the Old Town. The bed was one of those perfectly firm mattresses that doesn’t leave you feeling like you wrestled with it all night, and they’ve got these blackout curtains that actually work (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong). What really got me though was the bathroom – clean lines, great water pressure, and toiletries that didn’t smell like industrial disinfectant. Small touches, but they add up when you’re trying to feel human after a long day of wandering around Warsaw’s cobblestones.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to Castle Square if you take the scenic route through the quieter streets, or you can hop on the metro pretty easily – Świętokrzyska station is close enough that you don’t need to plan your whole day around transportation. I actually loved being slightly off the main tourist drag because it meant I stumbled into this fantastic little pierogi place just two blocks away that I never would have found if I’d stayed closer to the Royal Route. The neighborhood has that lived-in Warsaw feeling where you’ll see people walking their dogs and picking up groceries, not just groups with guidebooks. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – street spots are hit or miss, but the hotel staff knows which nearby lots are reasonable. Overall, Novel NeW feels like staying at a friend’s well-designed apartment in a part of the city that tourists are just starting to discover, which honestly might be the best compliment I can give a place.
