You know what surprised me most about the Novotel Warszawa Airport? It actually doesn’t feel like an airport hotel at all. I mean, sure, you can hear the occasional plane if you’re really listening, but honestly, I’ve stayed in city center hotels that were way noisier from all the traffic and late-night revelers.

The place has this modern, almost Scandinavian vibe going on – lots of clean lines and that particular shade of blue that Novotel loves so much. Check-in was refreshingly quick (which matters when you’re dealing with flight delays), and the staff genuinely seemed to get that most guests are either rushing to catch something or completely exhausted from travel. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but everything works properly, the bed’s actually comfortable, and there’s decent space to spread out your stuff. The bathroom’s got one of those rainfall showers that actually has good pressure, which is rarer than it should be.

Here’s the thing though – this hotel really shines for its practicality rather than any Instagram-worthy moments. The restaurant serves surprisingly decent Polish food alongside the usual international fare, and I appreciated that they keep room service running pretty late since airport schedules are unpredictable. The fitness center’s small but functional, and there’s a business center that’s actually useful if you need to print boarding passes or catch up on work between flights. Parking was straightforward and felt secure, which matters when you’re leaving your car for a week-long trip. The shuttle to the terminal runs frequently and takes maybe ten minutes – though honestly, if you’re not loaded down with luggage, it’s a pleasant enough walk when the weather’s decent. What I really liked was how the whole place just… works smoothly. No drama, no surprises, no “oh we forgot to mention” situations. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when travel’s already complicated enough. It’s not going to be the highlight of your Warsaw visit, but it’ll definitely make your airport experience way less stressful.

  A modern hotel with a well-lit lobby and restaurant, an excellent breakfast spread, friendly and helpful staff, and rooms that are both clean and well-maintained. The biggest advantages are undoubtedly its proximity to the airport as well as the free shuttle service, and while that does mean it's quite far from the rest of the city, it's nevertheless very easy to get downtown thanks to the bus stop right across the street. I also really appreciate how close it is to Mausoleum Park, which is a beautiful place to walk around and a proper tourist attraction in its own right for those visitors who love history. The rooftop apiary is a unique bonus, and as I wasn't visiting during the honey-making season, I owe a special shout out to the front desk staff who very kindly managed to track down the last available bottle and let me take it as a souvenir.

  Very good breakfast with, f. ex., possibility to bake waffles or make fresh juice from vegetables. Quite large parking lot, right next to the hotel, which must be paid in reception. There was also a swimming pool, but could not try.
