Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Retro Nest 1935 on Jagiellońska Street, you immediately get why this four-star boutique hotel has such devoted fans. The building itself tells a story — there’s this wonderful Art Deco charm that actually lives up to that “1935” in the name, and honestly, it feels like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of Warsaw’s history. The entrance has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which I really appreciate after staying in so many places that scream “look at me!”
The Praga Północ Experience
Here’s what most tourists don’t realize — you’re staying in one of Warsaw’s coolest neighborhoods, and I mean that in the best possible way. Praga Północ used to be the gritty, artistic district, and while it’s cleaned up considerably, it still has this authentic edge that the city center sometimes lacks. You can walk to the Vistula riverbank in about ten minutes, and there’s this fantastic mix of trendy cafes, local bars, and actual Polish life happening around you. The location gets a 9.4 rating from guests, and after spending time here, I totally get it — you’re close enough to everything but far enough away to feel like you’ve discovered something special.
Your Room and Space
The room design strikes this perfect balance between vintage charm and modern comfort that’s honestly hard to pull off. Each space feels thoughtfully curated rather than mass-produced — you’ll find period-appropriate furniture mixed with contemporary touches that actually work together. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms have been updated without losing that retro aesthetic. What I really loved was how much natural light floods in during the day, making the whole space feel larger and more welcoming than you’d expect.
Practical Perks That Matter
Let’s talk about something that’ll save you both money and headaches — the free private parking on site. If you’re driving in Warsaw, you know what a big deal this is, especially in a neighborhood this well-connected. No circling blocks looking for street parking or paying ridiculous daily rates at some distant garage. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth, and they’re the kind of people who’ll give you actual local recommendations rather than just pointing you toward tourist traps. Small touches like this add up to make a real difference in how your trip feels.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.3 overall rating, this place clearly does something right, and after staying here, I think it comes down to authenticity. You’re not getting a cookie-cutter hotel experience — you’re staying somewhere that feels connected to Warsaw’s actual character and history. Couples especially seem to love it here (they rate the location 9.3 for romantic trips), probably because there’s something genuinely charming about exploring Praga together and then coming back to this stylish retreat. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice rather than just booked a room for the night.

Ładne, piękne mieszkanie w świetnej lokalizacji
Dobra lokalizacja, bardzo ładne mieszkanie, wykonane ze smakiem
What could be improved: Wszystko jest w porządku, wszystko mi się podobało
Wonderful
Super clean, quiet, comfortable, nice view from balcony. The host was very helpful. Had everything we needed.
What could be improved: The bathroom could use a vent when showering.
Authentic apartment in Warsaw
This is a very authentic apartment with a very good renovation. It feels like you're going back in time. 😅 You can find basically everything you need in the apartment.
What could be improved: Entrance to internal parking is very narrow. If your car is bigger than e. g. Skoda Octavia, it can be a problem to enter.
Also we missed waste bin in the bathroom.
Wonderful
Nice atmosphere, great interior.
What could be improved: -
Great place if you want private parking in Warsaw
I loved the private parking behind the gate.
What could be improved: I knew there were stairs there. There's 85 steps. So be aware of this when you book.
The AC was only in the living room so the bedrooms were a bit hot.
I would have liked more bedlinnen so we could have made up the sofa bed in the living room where there's air conditioning.
Sunny beautiful place in very good location in Warsaw
Very spacious, very beautiful and cozy!
Lovely welcome gift in form of water and chocolate from hosts! Near the underground station so we were in the centre of Warsaw in 15 mins. Many cafes, shops and even a shopping mall. Best place we’ve ever booked. If we will be back in Warsaw - we will book Retro Nest 1935!
What could be improved: It was perfect, nothing.
Exceptional
Spacious light appartment next to the river accross old Town. Comfortable. Also with a parking.
What could be improved: The only thing - it doesn’t have an elevator and it is on 4th floor, but it wasn’t a problem for us.
Exceptional
Apartment is located in very nice neighborhood, a lot of café's and restaurants around. Its very tastefully renovated and comfortable. The living room contains Samsung Frame TV, and safe parking lot behind iron gate. Definitely recommend!
easy and cozy
Great host, great apartment, great location!
A spacious apartment with a unique retro design. Good location within a walking distance to the old town.
The apartment is big and has a very specific design, I loved how every detail was thoughtfully executed in the particular style. Even though we didn't need to sleep on sofa, there is a really comfy sofa to sleep on if needed. Everything was clean when we arrived. The owner is friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: A few more plates and cups would be great, and we were missing a ladle. But it wasn't a big deal.
